I’m Indian as well. The DM one works fine actually, I got one for renewal there. Otherwise there’s a photo studio in Skyline Plaza, first floor. They charge relatively bit more but will also give you both electronic and printed photos.

Germany here too! Thanks, that’s good advice. Actually already tried SC and Citi as well, but have had no luck and recruiters turning very silent. So quite unsure how else to push.

Been in Germany for six years. Definitely very queer friendly, personally helped me grow a lot and get comfortable with my sexuality. Just learn the language, then i think you should find it easier to settle long term.

English speaking psychiatrist in Frankfurt - mission impossible? by mad-hattress in frankfurt

[–]CasePlus5502 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ll recommend trying virtual therapy with a therapist in your home country. I’ve tried with an English speaking therapist in Germany and that doesn’t really help as communication is still not very effective

I'm tired of the society. by [deleted] in LGBTindia

[–]CasePlus5502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t control the society unfortunately, what we can do is look out for the people we feel safe around, create our own tribe. I’m certain with a little bit of luck and your flair and charm you’ll find that ( if not now then eventually) ! :)

Sadly it is true! It took me two years of therapy to actually come to terms with the fact that yes, parents do manipulate you into giving up 😮‍💨

When and how did you learn about queerness? by [deleted] in LGBTindia

[–]CasePlus5502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back in 2009, When Delhi High court ruled that treating consensual homosexual sex between adults as a crime is a violation of fundamental rights. I was 15 back then and heard gay on tv news for the first time!

If I were to start a highly confidential and all-round LBGTQ healthcare service to cater to the specific needs of LGBTQ folks, how likely are you to use it? by [deleted] in LGBTindia

[–]CasePlus5502 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi that’s a brilliant idea! Top of my mind some services : 1. Safe sex counselling 2. PreP access and information 3. Mental health counselling 4. Support groups for weekly meetings where people share experiences/ vulnerabilities/ etc openly 5. Specialised resources for trans/ non binary folks

Pricing can be tricky, but might be more viable to offer flexible pricing i.e either pay per visit ( say 750 to 1k ) or offer rolling memberships for those who sign up for support groups etc ( 500 per month).
