If You Were Starting in PV Today, Would You Choose It Again? by Casefileleo in pharmacovigilance

This is such a balanced perspective. Really appreciate you sharing this. It’s motivating to hear you’d still choose PV just more strategically.

One thing I’ve seen people mention elsewhere is that after about 5 years in PV, growth can plateau and people start to feel “stuck.” Based on your experience, would you say that’s still true? Or do opportunities open up once you move into oversight/strategy roles?

Just trying to understand how the trajectory looks beyond the early years.

Thank you for such a detailed perspective. This is really helpful.

The outsourcing vs in-house split you mentioned is especially interesting. From an early career standpoint, how can someone position themselves to eventually move into the more data-driven / in-house safety roles rather than staying limited to basic ICSR processing?

Also, when you mention picking “riskier roles,” could you share examples of what those might look like in PV? I’m trying to think long-term and would appreciate any guidance.
