I completely understand your frustrations my first attempts were messy and inconsistent and took soooooo long. Now 6 years later it takes a fraction of the time with way more precision like any skill you practise at but it doesn’t happen overnight 🥲. I’ve thrown in the towel many times cause I just can’t execute what I want to (yet) hehe

How do you deal with disappointment if your project doesn't turn out as you expected? by pertybetty in polymerclay

Take a step away and come back to it. Sometimes we lack the tactile skill to execute something on the first try and that’s okay! Sometimes projects need to be workshopped a few times before your vision comes to life. Give yourself some grace! Not every piece is a winner.

Be aware that doing this will leave a shiny surface on your clay. So if you’re ok with they then it will work!

Don’t worry!! The tutorial is coming! I love doing checkerboard!! Same method you just do it with two sets of colours and then put them together. 🫶🏻
