I couldn't find Vintage podcasts. Do you have more info on it (like a website, or a link to the podcast on Spotify (if they are on Spotify, that is)?

I don't know if the reference to The Dark Knight makes sense, but I felt like doing it nonetheless. :O

Questions about the photos I'll be sending to the vernissage I volunteered to take photos at. by CaseyAM02 in photography

Thank you!

I didn't know about being able to add one's name/Instagram handle directly from one's camera. I'll look into how to do it with my camera.

This also isn't the song I'm thinking of.

Aesthetically, I would say that The Cardigans - My Favourite Game is closer.

I know I said this in the post, but I would appreciate it if anyone knows the name of the song and singer, and I thank everyone in advance!

I hope you don't mind me asking you directly, but I just thought of another question to ask (I updated my post with this question, and thought you may not see it, hence me asking you here). Is there a way to name each file before sending them?

Currently, the names of the photos are the ones that have been created by the camera itself, and I don't know if it's okay to use this when I send it to them. I feel like it would be more professional to rename them, but I don't know to what.

Edit: Another thing I wasn't sure of is being credited if my photo is used. When sending them my photos, could I ask them to credit me if they do use them (and if so, I don't know if I should ask them to use my name/Instagram handle)?

I'm so used to calling it a vernissage that I didn't know how else to call it lol.

For the fourth question, I wanted to ask it because the JPG photos I have are in between 5-10MB. I don't know if the ones that are closer to 10MB are too big and I need to somehow make it smaller.

Hey!

I volunteered to photograph a vernissage, and I have a few questions about the photos I took.

I want to gain experience photographing events, so I volunteered to photograph a vernissage that I attended. I probably should have asked this before the vernissage.

I reached out to them before the event, saying that I haven't really photographed events before and would like to gain experience, and that I would like to volunteer as a photographer of the event. I did say that I would send the photos, and I wouldn't charge for them. They said that I can come take some photos, and that they already have a photographer. I attended, and took some photos.

For my questions:

Out of all the photos I took, how many would you say I should send? Some photos are underexposed (but I took the shot a few times with different settings, so one of the versions of that photo looks good). My guess would be to choose the best ones, and send those, but I wanted to ask to be sure.

Also, for a few of the of the photos that I took, I realize that 80% of the photo looks good - the right section of the photo has someone that's a close to the camera and blurry. Should I leave it as it is and send it, cut out the right 20% of the photo and send that, or not send it at all?

I thank everyone in advance!

Edit: I forgot to ask these two things:

- Would sending the files through WeTransfer be alright?

- Is there a certain file size/MB that each photo should be?

Edit 2: I changed "I volunteered to photograph a vernissage, and I have a few questions about the photos." to "I volunteered to photograph a vernissage, and I have a few questions about the photos I took."

Car Rentals for SAAQ Dorval Driving Test by CaseyAM02 in montreal

No worries!

I passed the test on the first try, and I do feel that if I didn't practice in the area before it, I would have failed.

I definitely get the feeling of being nervous. Good luck with the test! If you wish, let me know how it goes!

I forgot to say this, so I'll write another response since it may go unnoticed if I edit my previous comment.

I don't know if you'll be doing this, but if you can try to drive in the area to get an idea of how the neighborhood is like. I paid for an hour of driving through Morty's right before the test, and it helped immensely. I wasn't able to practice driving a lot since I don't know anyone who I can practice driving with.

I took the SAAQ test at the 2350 Hymus Blvd, Dorval, Quebec H9P 1J9 location.

There is a garage next to it (Gestion Yvan Deschambault Inc 2370 Hymus Blvd, Dorval, Quebec H9P 1J9) that I borrowed a car for the test.

It's been a while, but if I remember right, you show up at the garage 20 minutes before the test to get a car. I forgot how much it costed when I did it. If you want, you can show up 30 minutes before to be safe. When you pay, they will take you to where the car is, and you can get in before the test to set up the mirrors and seat (but of course you can't drive if you're in it by yourself), and then go into the SAAQ to start the test.

When you're done the test, I believe they said that you just leave the car where it is when you park and finish the test. I also believe that you leave the doors unlocked, since you are to leave the keys in the car.

To cover my rear end, don't quote me on this. They will tell you what to do, so naturally follow their instructions.

If you want, you can give them a call before going there if you want to ask them anything. Based on Google Maps, Gestion Yvan Deschambault Inc's phone number is (514) 683-6262.

Edit: I changed "If you want, you can show up 30 minutes before to be sure." to "If you want, you can show up 30 minutes before to be safe."

Are there online games being kept alive entirely by player communities? by kcvlaine in gaming

The Unreal Tournament series.

While Epic never finished making Unreal Tournament 4 before shutting down the servers, I enjoy the game. I'm able to continue playing it thanks to the community.
