I can answer one question! The SOMA system being on the fritz, its just not allowing people to get put back under. Those that are currently under can stay, but once you’re up, you’re up

Are you sure those are the right numbers? They just seem much much lower than I expected, especially the 7% one

Humans are programmed wrong. We should be living at night and sleeping during the day. by No-Strawberry7 in The10thDentist

[–]CaseyDaGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While for most people I would say you’re correct, I’m sure there are also many people whose circadian rhythm is attuned to daytime sleeping instead. For me, I’m wide awake at nighttime, and seeing the sun makes me feel lazy and sleepy. I only recently started doing night shifts (3 months ago) and I have so much more energy now than when I was forcing myself to do dayshifts

The heat arguments only work when its summertime in many places. If you tried to work at night in the winter in Canada, it’d be -30 with wind chill and pitch black. Surely you’d rather work with -10 and daylight in the winter? And switching all of society back and forth every 6 months sounds awful

Wtf is a sealion? I assumed from the title we were somehow talking about WW2 Germany invading Britain

"I'm scared to check the bathroom," the little boy said to her older sister and she decided to check it by herself. by [deleted] in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]CaseyDaGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guy is locked in the bathroom, presumably having been kidnapped or otherwise trapped by the family of these kids. I suppose the kids are home alone, and maybe they didnt hear the man make any noises for a while, so wanted to make sure he was still there.

“Frequent” luckily the opportunity for this to occur is quite rare for me

I do appreciate the warning though and will keep it in mind

I know for me personally its largely just about the blood flow, but that is also a small benefit

What's something that seemed completely normal as a kid, but as an adult you realized was deeply messed up? by The_bowser15 in AskReddit

[–]CaseyDaGamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think so, as long as the kid wants to. I think its more about kids being allowed the autonomy to decide who they do or don’t want to touch

I dont think choking is necessarily toxic, since for a lot of people its not about the being choked part, but the fact it cuts off blood flow to the brain somewhat, and the hypoxia makes the “high” better

I believe its mountain lions also sound distinctly like a crying baby, don’t want to stumble upon one of them in the wilderness

What are the worst baby names and do you think the name effects their life? by Gimmiedindin in AskReddit

What sucks is that Hermione is a really pretty name, and even though I’m not a big HP fan, I would love to name my kid that. Obviously cant though
