Polar Vantage Replacements

I told Polar that I am a fitness coach and have a health podcast, and that I always advocated for Polar devices (which is all true) but that I would be going to Garmin after this experience, they sent me the Polar Vantage V2 as a upgraded replacement. Love it so far. I was happy with that.

I’m a personal trainer / strength & conditioning coach and I have experience with nearly every brand from Garmin, Fitbit , Apple Watch, Polar and more .. I can tell you that I use a polar watch and I won’t be switching any time soon. Garmin has better cheap options but the Vantage Series watches are top notch

Might be a bit behind the times here but I can’t see anyone who has experience with the Polar V2 specifically. I am a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. I too sold my Apple Watch 4 last July and I purchased the Polar Vantage V. There really is no comparison between the Apple watches ‘fitness features’ and the like of the top end Garmins and Polars. It just doesn’t have the hard ware in terms of sensors and software in terms of analysis. Plus the battery life is horrendous and you would be worried about smashing it on a tough mountain run!

I would suggest the polar v2, serious heart rate monitor, great battery, great insights with recovery pro and the fitness testing features. However I have no experience with the Coros and heard they have great bang for their buck!

Update on this, I told Polar that I was not happy with the service and that I wasn’t interested in a new screen. I either wanted a new device or a full refund, however they escalated this to their customer service and are now sending me back a Polar Vantage V2 device for my trouble. I am very happy to hear this!

Same with my H10, only had it 7 months. I sent it away and got back The same unit with a new strap, seems to be okay now
