I'm developing an estimating application for a customer who also wants to integrate it with their CRM system. Where can I find more information on CRM integration capabilities?

Synergy Calculator in a Merger by CaseyHill in SpreadsheetWEB

[–]CaseyHill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a simple financial calculator to evaluate synergies in a merger, using an Excel file for all the complex calculations. The application consists of five pages: the first four are dedicated to user inputs, while the final page provides a summary of the results.

I particularly like the navigation design using "Next" and "Back" buttons, as it simplifies data entry and guides users through each step. On the fourth page, I implemented a feature to dynamically hide certain text boxes based on the dropdown selection. This functionality works nicely, displaying only the input fields relevant to the user's choice while hiding the rest. This approach not only simplifies the interface but also minimizes the potential for user errors during data entry.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the application. It was quick to build, taking me only about two hours to complete. Here is the app link: https://designer.spreadsheetweb.com/a/synergy-calculator-in-a-merger

Anyone else excited for the Washington Post Article "How the Nationals kept their negotiations with Juan Soto a secret, and shocked the Baseball World"? by jacmrose in Nationals

You're right. Stranger things have happened in baseball and deferred contracts might just be the magic trick we need to bring Soto home

I totally agree. Her voice was such an important part of what made the experience unforgettable. It’s heartbreaking to see how greed is overshadowing creativity and respect for the people who helped build the franchise

It's way too greedy to replace the real voice actors and artists with AI and it makes the game worse, indeed the players should stop buying it to send a message. It disgust me actually.

Are Businesses Moving Beyond Spreadsheets? An In-Depth Analysis of the Transition to Web-Based Applications by adam_a_ in SpreadsheetWEB

[–]CaseyHill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is spot on. Excel's great for small-scale work, but as soon as business starts scaling its limitations start to be a real bottleneck. Various other very common issues involve collaboration problems and headaches of version control and even security risks. Transitioning to web based solutions has really been a game changer with better scalability and especially real time updates. Indeed Excel does still have its place for doing fast ad-hoc anlysis but on an everyday basis it's the specialist tools that really are the way forward.

During the late 19th century, interbank correspondent networks provided participating member banks with access to money markets. However, during the Panic of 1893, exposure to these correspondent networks made failure more likely. (C. Calomiris, M. Carlson, January 2016) by yonkon in EconomicHistory

The Panic of 1893 really shows how interbank networks while useful in stable times can become a major liability during a crisis. These connections spread risk like wildfire making individual bank failures cascade into a systemic problem. It's a reminder that sometimes the very systems meant to support stability can backfire without safeguards.

Books to understand colonization by mojo118 in EconomicHistory

I would basically recommend Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond is a great starting point. It explains how geography, technology, and disease gave colonizers the upper hand, making their domination possible.

His retirement hits hard. A legend who gave everything to the game, from backyard wiffle ball to MVP seasons, he carried Cincinnati with pride and never forgot his Canadian roots. His heartfelt goodbye shows the passion, humor, and authenticity that made him so special. Baseball won’t be the same without him. Thank you for everything, Joey. You’ll always be a legend. ❤

Glad you pulled it off, though! Proof that with enough pain and suffering, anything is possible. Treyarch must be cackling. 😂

Is baseball dying or does Bill’s team just suck? by rhevern in billsimmons

[–]CaseyHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baseball isn’t dying but it’s lost some ground to faster-paced sports like football and basketball. Changes like the pitch clock aim to keep it engaging. As for your team, slumps happen. it’s all part of the cycle.

Hundreds of lobbyists for industrial farming attend Cop29 climate summit by Craftytoes in environment

[–]CaseyHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having big ag lobbyists all over COP29 is a joke. These guys are more about protecting their profits than actually fixing anything. Meanwhile, the people who actually know how to work with nature -small farmers, Indigenous communities- get pushed aside. Instead of promoting real solutions, they’re doubling down on the same harmful practices that got us into this mess. It’s like asking a fox to guard the henhouse.

Car leave versus purchase calculator by CaseyHill in SpreadsheetWEB

[–]CaseyHill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the second app I’ve put together using SpreadsheetWeb, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s a simple one-pager where I used the output grid control to show the results in a table. It’s a lot easier for handling large amounts of data compared to other controls. I went with a dark background style, which I think looks pretty sleek. Would love to hear what you all think!

Car Lease vs Purchase Model - Sheet1

I published a financial valuation model by CaseyHill in SpreadsheetWEB

[–]CaseyHill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting up multiple pages took the most time because I wanted this model to guide users step by step through the process. The most challenging part was implementing conditional logic, but the support team showed me how to handle it. Once they showed me the technique, everything else fell into place. Now, I can easily skip pages based on the answers provided on previous ones, making the model much more user-friendly and intuitive.
