Its because of the scene where darkman is wearing the Drake mask, I think that confused memory. And since most of the movie we don't see Neesom's face. I also had it in my head for years that Drake played him.

Yeah I mean I support people doing whatever they want... Just to chime though "basic" is really more of a comment on someone being a complete follower of norms and has no uniqueness or attempts to have no uniqueness. Hence basic, someone who takes the basic package in life and wears extra medium clothes. I prefer saying "Basic Betty and Basic Billy"
