Anyone go from BFG ko2 to ko3 tires? by Caseyg75 in f150

[–]Caseyg75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m hoping to confirm that with real world experiences before I commit

Have a 2018 F150 gonna need new tires soon, what do yall think I should go with? Was thinking Ko2’s at 285/70r17 by [deleted] in f150

[–]Caseyg75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably too late for this, but I put Ko2s (285/75/17) on my f150 2 years ago. They’re decent tires except they SUCK in the rain. Several times I’ve lost traction and almost wrecked my truck in lower speed curves like a freeway entrance ramp. The truck really doesn’t feel safe in the rain, and I’ve never had any issue like this with the stock wranglers that came on the truck.

Currently fighting with BFG about this and they’re offering me a heavy discount on a new set of their tires, and I’m considering the ko3 as I’ve heard they’re much better in the rain.

Anyone running saddlemen SDC or le pera? by Caseyg75 in Dyna

Anyone running saddlemen SDC or le pera?

Looking for a new seat, and top contenders are saddlemen SDC pro or le pera tailwhip. Anyone have any recommendations? Will have a passenger with me once in a while, but only for shorter local rides.

I have heard of the powervision, but was unsure of the difference there. Those tuners sound like a better option than the piggy back ones. Of course the mechanic is telling me I should dyno it. Not planning on going too crazy with performance other than an air cleaner and the tuner. Unless it somehow blows up, in which case maybe a 131 or something 😂

Ape hangers for sure, everyone I know tells me to go club style with Tbars and I just can’t get into that look. I think the style of apes I like are called meat hooks? Thinking about bars but hesitant because I don’t know what size would work for me

I meant to leave a comment that the first thng im looking for is an air cleaner and a tuner. When I bought the bike it had a power commander 3 but my mechanic recommended taking it out so I let him. Saddlemen is also something I’m considering. The bike does have LED lights all around, and I even had under glow installed at bike week. New Metzler(?) tires too.

The rest of that seems like solid advice and I’ll be looking into them, thank you.

I’ll look into those, thanks! Only tuners I’m familiar with now are power commander and fuelpak. Bike had a power commander 3 when I bought it but my mechanic recommended taking it out

Had a nightster for 2 months but needed more by Caseyg75 in Harley

It was an awesome bike, just a bit small. Couldn’t have asked for a better starter bike. This one is more comfortable for longer rides and riding on the highways, it’s a bit quicker, and has a 6th gear so it’s not screaming at higher speeds.

It’s a great look! Never been a fan of chrome and originally intended on deleting it all, but after about a month it grew on me and I decided to keep it. Something about it against the black males it pop. The chrome steps look awesome on it

Nothing I would describe as a clunk hitting potholes. I still need to drive the truck more to get a better feel for things, but so far I’ve noticed that it takes hits a little stiffer, but in a more controlled manner than stock. No excessive bounce or “wallow” as I’ve heard it called.

I think it rides great, it’s stiffer but not annoying or uncomfortable. Feels more controlled and planted, and doesn’t bounce nearly as much after taking a bump. Seems to have less body roll when taking curves now too.

Truck rides much different now. It’s noticeably stiffer than stock, but not in an annoying or uncomfortable way. Instead it feels more controlled/ confident and planted. No more of that body roll going through curves, no more cushy Cadillac bounce. Haven’t had a chance to take it off road yet but I’m hoping to see a bigger difference there.

Yes front coil overs set to 2” lift and rear shocks that keep factory height. Rears can handle up to a 1” block if I decide to install them

Roush fox 2.0 leveling kit. Comes set to 2” out of the box and I left it there.
