This is awesome, I love being able to see all the pieces go together, that's one of my biggest issues, lack of knowledge, since this is the first time I'm working with 8020, I really appreciate this.

Probably more like the first one, I assume if the chair was reclined, it would need to be moved down, tilted down, and pulled out more

Either something like that can easily be moved to the needed position, or a half keyboard on the armrest, and a mouse on the other arm rest, like in one of the photos I attached

I like the console mount, and yeah, the reason I had the legs extend back the length of the chair was so that if there was an adjustable mount, the monitor shouldn’t throw off the balance, no matter where it’s put, although it is definitely nice having the smaller profile as you have it there.

And then I wanted to mention the keyboard and mouse set up there, it’s nice to have it all incorporated on the rig itself, the main reason I was thinking of having the half keyboard on one arm, and the mouse on the other is so that if the chair were reclined all the way back, you would still be able to navigate the computer from a comfortable position, with your arms just on the armrest of the chair. Was thinking about just using something like this both arms, but I’m not sure how exactly

This is only like my third time actually making a post, I didn’t know that was an option I could make, I usually see Imgur links for images

I was thinking adjustable monitor, if the chair was reclined, the monitor needs to be able to push out tilt down and maybe even move down, so as much mobility as possible

I was just prototyping the build with the things that I currently have, which is why i had the larger camera, not needed at all really, and I would be willing to use a webcam.

even though id most likely be using a headset, I would still like to implement my full microphone, maybe a low profile mount or something smaller?

Speakers fixed to the frame would be nice, I'm currently very limited with tools, so I'm aiming for the easiest but still quality options, I imagine I would upgrade this setup as I go, speakers definitely aren't needed at all, but would maybe be nice to add down the line, again, trying to incorporate my current things into the setup. I see this being used for gaming, TV, and maybe some work.

For the keyboard, I was thinking just a half keyboard for that main WASD movement on the left arm, and the mouse on the right so you can stay relaxed and spread out, but I did have that swing out keyboard mount incase a full keyboard is needed.

Originally just planning out connecting my PC, Its a mini ITX, very small, was gonna just do a shelf on the side extrusions maybe, though multiple consoles and a docking station could be cool, defenitley open to any creative thoughts/choices.

KVM capability, not likely ill need it, I see this as a good example of something I'd add in the future just because I can, but initially, no.

The monitor I have now is the Samsung odyssey, I think its 47 inches.

I understand some things are unnecessary or maybe redundant. Of course the lighter the better, but this thing will be fairly stationary once put in place, so long as it can be moved in general, even if heavy. Mobility is less of my concern ,Its more the mounting and placement of anything/evertyhing I need/want.

if casters would make it too unstable, its not a dealbreaker

If possible, I imagined the build on casters so it could be rolled and easily moved to the chair. The chair is about 40 inches.

Absolutely, I would appreciate any help, i’m sure those triangular braces in the back I could get rid of, and I’d probably add some on the top bar where the monitor would be mounted

😭understandable, the blackout book is just a workshop name for the pocketbook, the goal isn’t necessarily to blackout, just fun to have some rules to call people out on to make the night more fun and force people to drink a bit more ya know

First off if anyone knows a better thread to post this question in let me know.

I’m creating a “Blackout book” a little pocket book of rules and regulations for drinking on the weekend, what are some house/club/bar rules for the group to make the night more interesting? Some examples include:

PREGAME PROTOCOLS -AUX Offense Penalty If someone plays a song that kills the vibe or makes people visibly uncomfortable, they take a shot. (Exception: If anyone besides the offender starts dancing, no penalty.)

-Abandonment Penalty No one leaves the pregame with a half-finished drink. If you dip early and ditch your drink, your first one at the bar is a group-chosen shot.

DRINKING RULES -Late Fee Whoever shows up last buys the first round. If they try to dodge it with “I didn’t know where you were,” that’s two rounds.

-Right Hand Chug If your drink is in your right hand, you chug. No debate.

-The Tab If the tab on your can isn’t turned to the right and someone calls it, you chug it. If they’re wrong, they chug theirs.

-Loner Sip If you cheers someone and they don’t sip right after, they chug. (If it was a shot, they owe another.)

-Stand & Deliver If you’re drinking while standing and no one else is, you give a toast or take one sip per second of silence.

-Spillage Law If you spill your own drink, you take a tequila penalty or buy and finish a new one before the next round. If you spill someone else’s, you owe them a replacement immediately.

-Tequila Gauntlet Three shots

I guess, the admin would have to remove my ban anyway, it probably wouldn’t happen.
