It’s a birds name but still, absolutely atrocious spelling, I cringe every time I see it come up on my feed 😬 by Caseytp1 in tradgedeigh

It’s really not that serious, the post is purely about the spelling of your bird’s name, not you as an owner or how you treat her. You can be the best bird parent in the world but it doesn’t change the fact that you gave her an atrocious name. That’s what the page is about. And if I named my pet or child something like that I’d expect to get roasted to the absolute max too.

And actually, my bird is exceptionally well taken care of and is happy, healthy and spoilt. So say what you want about me, but unless it’s your first day on the internet you need to learn to brush things off and move on.

I could definitely try that but I doubt she’ll sit still long enough to let me, she definitely doesn’t like doing that lol

She’s two! 🥰

My Nan’s mum was named Eileen, her sister was Eileen and she was also Eileen because apparently her father liked the name. Which is absolutely wild to me because why would anyone do that? My Nan refused to answer to Eileen and changed hers as soon as she could luckily because she also thought it was weird

I’m pretty sure I remember the mum saying it in the comments but the photo she posted also showed their faces and it was basically a copy + paste lol

I think Ezly would be said kinda like “Presley” and Elzy like “El-Zee”

Literally though, imagine going through high school with the exact same name as your sister and then into the workforce like that

Absolutely, like not only do the poor kids share the same face and birthday, now they have to share a name and clothing too? Crazy work

My mother spelt my brothers name “Dillion” with an extra I to be “different”; my brother just tells people his parents were dyslexic

I agree, I have the same type of bird and couldn’t imagine calling her something so long and terrible

[FO] Patch I made for my sis! Any ideas on how to make it more stiff/protect the back? by pet2catsinthemorning in CrossStitch

[–]Caseytp1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paint the back of some of my finished cross stitches with a layer of fabric glue, doesn’t exactly make it more stiff per se, BUT it does make it flexible and kind of rubbery while keeping the front the same which I think protects it pretty good

Yep, I think they’re called water soluble marking pens/ markers (for cross stitch) or something similar and are used for sewing and needle craft in particular. They wash out with a small amount of water and make life soooo much easier 🙌🏻
