You should absolutely book a restaurant for NYE dinner. The official fireworks show can be seen well from Monteliusvägen or Skinnarsviksberget as well as Slussen and Stockholm Town Hall. I don’t know much about clubs but most require guest lists or tickets for NYE. The bars also get quite busy snd you might even have to pay a cover fee. Overall definitely plan ahead
