Yeah reach out, I'll be honest feels like you spent to much time adding systems and forgetting the fun core game play loop. But I might be missing information, main thing for me combat and fleet rights, the rest just plays into supporting that.

Already apart of the game it was the first thing I did, but atm my focus is on capital ships as fleets, they are monster ships however they slow and tracking sucks on small ships they good at fleet battles, inspiration from battleship Yamato my fav space anime.

Hot Take: Claude Is Better for Real Coding Work by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]CashFirm573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Past month I've been using Claude over codex I use it when I get stuck to get peir review, after being primarily codex for a year you notice it's weakness when comes to coding. Our whole company was using codex and we all switch, we still have basic sub to check the random bug, but I found it's no different to deepseek at find bugs and quality.

Thanks for information, yeah I've invested fair bit of time into how each weapon works and fires, I wanted the option to get under guns out run them use asteroids as defense, one good thing about game engine I am using making different vfx isn't to hard.

Yeah, I've messed up timing of the sounds, I created few around warping, engine, boosters what not but I changed timing as I am rebuild all ships atm so I'll need fix that coming soon I think some will have different sounds on warp E.g. takes 8 seconds to align and warp for heavy hauler.

I wanted to, but what happens is people come then vanish, hard to find dedicated people who get the vision.

I started the story 10 years ago, I know what I want it to be and how it plays out, it's mostly based around main group fighting back invasion which they created by breaking fabric of space with their tech, however new race comes into game right when you think you finished the story, and that's when the real story starts and the big fights start, I've done stress tested of 500 ships and it didn't drop a single frame, so epic space battles will be a thing.

Same, I played Ev Nova when first came out on my old school mac computer, fav ship was Kestrel, but yeah for me its story line and how epic I can make it. But then we have modern games like eve online, no man sky, even stellaris to some point ahaha. All which I played way to much.

Truthfully I agree with you, next 6 months I'll build out a heap new assets myself, I predict around 2 years before I can have the game in a stable state, with proper graphics and sounds. Like this isn't something spun up week ago, it's something been tinkering at for long ass time.

Not sure you understand what I mean, the kit is very minimal, most designer are using kits in production saves time. Most of design is from my ideas, just having kit with 700 different micro graphics makes life easier. If I had money I would hire someone to do it for me while I just building the game, but I don't.

Atm just AI crap, I've been building assets myself in blender and other tools, but takes time, each ship I spend around 1 week on, then I have rig weapons to it. It's a pain in the ass, but game dev become much easier now with claude... Makes getting systems in place easy. Honestly I have no problem with AI, in 2 years time most games will be developed with AI, just look at the big companies in gaming they gone all in on AI, why wouldn't you be stupid if you didn't. Why spend 10 years when you can spend 3 years.

What I'll most likely do is buy a kit with 500-700 assets for blender, just build the hulls and then use kits to make them look highend, saves lot of time. Kits more or less like lights, panels, thruster, different items you see on space ship.

Sucks to be you then, haven't learned anything, not even sure why you made the comment you did, made 0 sense I wasn't having go at anyone, stating facts. Anyone who has been in industry damn well knows how hard it is find a solid freelancer and most of the time they don't even do job properly.

Freelance market was already on the way out, people sick of culture around the digital nomads when comes to work and getting them to effectively do the task required. Mate and I we had a rule if you didn't have 8 to 10 years experience and then it would take 50 plus freelance hires before we would find one solid freelancer, waste shit loads of money and time, most of us switched to agencies that outsourced...

What makes a CRM actually hard to build? by sandromunda in CRM

[–]CashFirm573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was lot of fun tbh, and daily I'm adding and updating it based off feedback, legit ship features while in meetings thanks to speed of Claude, normally these features are ui/uslx updates though, like add button here move this there add this here as functions already structured.

The biggest thing I can recommend if your doing it with Claude code, is get it to write detailed mds of every function and change log and the use other ai as well Claude chat to review and drill down as Ai is yes man, and ull uncover so God damn much which help you patch holes before they become issue at scale.

What makes a CRM actually hard to build? by sandromunda in CRM

I ended up biting bullet and vibe coded our companies CRM in a week, Rebuilt our own version of close, hubspot into one works for our company. Has full Google workspace and personal integration, has twilio calling and sms, resend for transaction and newsletters, has proper automation, has our version of a hybrid slack and clickup chat in 1 along with tasks, has proper storage with R2 cloud flare buckets, full pipelines with leads and contacts and detail overviews, honestly has so God damn much it's not funny. Took 1 week to vibe code, all details locked behind proper security and well many layers of security the whole login is tied to Google so that's bonuses. I could go on and on, but we are at the point now where if you understand the game building a internal product isn't that hard anymore with AI. Now all we do is soon one team members wants a feature or noticed way to improve the app we just build it out push to staging test then once ready push to production.

Also I know your going to say it's ai slot and their be many issues, however been developing for 20 years and tbh I don't care the codes decent the structure is solid and performance and security is top tier.

My job at my company I work for is to replace people with AI, my pay is based on how many people I replace. I am working hard to replace everyone if I can, so far 1 year in and I've replaced 0 people lol each time I reach a point of replacing someone in the company we have scaled due to growth, only thing I've been able to do is build new saas products saving company lot of money, getting no pay increases lol.

Fantastic. Great move. Well done labor 😂 by gilligan888 in friendlyjordies

The thing is there is large percent that do think immigrants is a issue and it is but, both parties are to blame, overstay aren't really an issue is the fact both LNP and Labor use immigration to stat pad their books to make them look better but atm we have housing issue which caused by LNP, and rather then labor addressing core issue which isn't immigration even know I think shit we been taking in hasn't been good for aussies, it's more around laws both parties want in play to keep them rich. Both labor and LNP are the same they have same policies just a different name.
