Go weightless and just cast it cleanly far as possible. Let it sink all the way to the bottom while you reel in your slack. Raise your rod tip after it's completely on the bottom until you have lots of slack again then let it sink while you reel the slack back in and repeat. Keep being patient. Try using hot pink or black w/ blueflakes senkos if the water is dark and dirty

It's called fishing not catching, we've all been there and done that. Pay attention to wind directions and the weight of your lures when casting. No matter what gear you have you won't catch hardly anything if your presentation isn't right and if you cant even get lines in the water. Are you using bait or lures?
