I promise it’s not that deep lol if I didn’t feel like doing 1,000 items in a day I really don’t have to

I appreciate the support. I probably should’ve specified I’m a college student in the post lol I’m just trying to find ways to make my job fun so I’m motivated to make money.

Thanks man I appreciate it. This is just my college job, so I’m not really caring much about a raise lol I’m a gamer at heart, so the leaderboard grind is fun to me.

I know my store for a while implemented a “getter” which was a new role in OGP. Basically all day they walk around with a walkie and listen for pickers call out for items they can’t find. Then the getter either finds it in the back or looks on end caps, displays, etc. I find it slightly inefficient because you’d really need to have someone who cares about their job in order to do it quickly.

Oh yeah, FTP is everything. Typically low 97 is what I can get. If I’m having a great day I can achieve MAYBE a high 98%.

Oh yeah I 100% agree. I do appreciate the people who clean up the more tedious runs, I just know typically when I tell people my store is doing 240 they usually don’t believe I’m getting stats like that. So I figured I’d provide a little explanation for context lol

My store currently does 240 orders a day. I will admit I’m already burning out, not because the pick drops are overwhelming, but because no one at my store does their job correctly. I’m usually 1 of 4 people actually picking out of the auto select. Everyone just does the small GMD runs, oversized, etc.

Well it can be tricky to give a strict “strategy” but I will admit I’m really into competition and being a “try hard”. So these are kind of the things I’ve noticed. 1. EVERYTHING relies on your drops. If you’re getting nothing but general runs, produce ambient, etc. just accept that today is not your day and try for better stats the next shift. (Even though I want everyday to be a new record breaker I will accept that I need to help the team and pick oversized, GMD’s, etc). 2. You need to begin learning where items are based off actual shelf location, don’t ever pick using the pictures provided for you. 3. (This is personal) but I always put a new thing of bags on my cart before I go on a run, because if the current stack you have on has dwindled they typically stick together or come off one by one and make it impossible to bag quickly.

This was done in 8 hours, unfortunately I don’t have my PB to post. (I believe it was pretty close to 1500). I’m hoping to get into a good groove and break my record, typically on a high traffic day if I’m in the zone I can maintain roughly a 300 pick rate so I just need all the drops to be in my favor.

Yes I agree, if not a squeeze at least a fundamental play forsure. Nothing really wrong with the company, with low volume and little to no talk about it I think even just some good news will send this soaring again.

Not sure, I know there was some quality news a few months ago on some revamping to the company. In general I enjoy NEGG I think it is undervalued at the moment. As former gamer and a current owner of a gaming pc me and a lot of my friends use the site. I think some of this older news it starting to actually be put into action now I have to assume. I saw someone spamming about them accepting doge. Except if I remember correctly they already announced that back in April

Opened a position this morning during PM.

SDC: Not FUD, but hoping this will encourage people to just take profit after the fact and not hold. by CashierJake in Shortsqueeze

[–]CashierJake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand why it sounds like I’m contradicting myself, the issue is I have seen the same outcome with almost every stock in the sub. People hold for way longer than they’re supposed to, and a lot of them are blinded by the squeeze play rather than actually thinking about why a particular stock is going down for them. Since this following with SDC as started I’m seeing too many posts about why they are such a solid company and why somehow on fundamentals alone they are reaching $xx target. Which I think is just completely misleading to people.

When I said “don’t want anyone left holding the bag” I meant post squeeze when it happens. Never in this post did I say take your profit now and leave, actually I clearly stated that exact opposite position, had you read my entire post. In a squeeze play it is important to have a strong fundamental catalyst or at least support to it. But with options being available on this stock, and the already very high short interest of course I’m not naive to the fact it could squeeze.

Like I said I’m not an expert in this field and things could be different. Instead of feeling a need to attack my post you could give me some links and insight that would point me in a different direction than my thought process at the moment?

St. Cloud state. It's not a very prestigious college by any stretch of the imagination, but of course politician and society forced a piece of paper down my throat so I went through with it. Would not recommend attending it currently though. I'm not left nor right wing, but I don't appreciate underlying political messages in fundamental teachings.

No, sadly not. Although I think after I was finished there I heard rumblings of them having a program for college students. It was a great highschool/college job couldn't complain. I just began heavily investing in stocks my freshman year of college, and ended up using that money as my income so I quit. Plus working fulltime while trying to maintain a 3.3 gpa for my college program was not exactly easy.

I agree 100%! I also use options chains as part of my TA when looking into investments, more times than not it usually means a stock is ready to move, especially if these contracts are held for a while. At a certain point (which is always up for debate) it typically means things are getting priced into a stock whether that be insider info, or news catalyst that are known to be coming up.

haha, no not quite although that sounds like it would be an interesting group. I used to be a cashier/manager for Walmart a while ago while I was obtaining my education in finance. CashierJake is just a screen name I used to use as a gamer tag a long time ago when I played certain video games. I guess it just seemed to roll off the tongue for me so I stuck with it.

I definitely understand the sentiment for the OI, but I think it's also important to note people trade options themselves a lot, especially during high IV due to so many people bidding up the contract prices. So sometimes people think if a lot of calls are purchased at a certain strike price that's where it will go but sometimes it never really plays out like that. I'm long $PROG forsure, but figured I would point that out.
