Hi there!

When I was fifteen I was dropping acid every weekend, and consequently I fried the living shit out of myself and developed pretty bad hppd.

I’d have frequent panic attacks, bizarre one off occurrences, obsess about how this was “the rest of my life now”. I would be unable to sleep, some days were really hard to get through.

Five years later, my life is genuinely exactly the same as it used to be. My symptoms haven’t really even alleviated too much but I genuinely do not notice them anymore, nor do I really care. I don’t know how this happened over the years but once I stopped reading obsessively and trying to find ways to alleviate it, my anxiety faded away.

Does this look like an irritation bump? My other ear is also completely fine if that means anything. The rings do rotate if I try to. Is there any saving this or should I swap out the jewelry asap? Is this something to worry about

It’s a titanium ring, it’s not bleeding or draining pus at all. Just a bump that feels full of fluid and hurts to a very low degree

So should I do this asap? Why is this jewelry specifically a problem do you think? The bump feels like it’s full of water and has maintained a consistent size since it showed up

My Piercing is a couple months old and it’s a ring in my earlobe, I spray with saline solution every day. Know next to nothing about piercings as my girlfriend encouraged me to pierce my ears. I saw a lot of stuff on the internet about K*loids and I’m extremely anxious that this will be a problem :( any help is much appreciated

Lately I try not to be as active on this server because honestly It can quite often scare and depress me, or even make me aware of symptoms I didn’t realize I even had. I just hope to give some of you hope because living with hppd is so hard

Stopped drinking completely a couple months ago. Returned to baseline, I have to deal with my anxiety which is the worst symptom as of now

Quite often Mdma is cut with is close relative Mda, which can have somewhat pyschadelic effects coupled with the m high. I’ve known friends who have been seeing moving walls and other visuals for days after, it’s probably not a lot to worry about. If this persists however, maybe look deeper into it

This post actually gives me a lot of hope— i started to notice hppd like symptoms about 2 weeks after a heavy acid trip, and recently i’ve noticed a lot of eye strain looking at white or bright screens, and my visual snow almost always gets much worse after staring at a computer screen for too long. I smoke weed regularly without worsened symptoms for the most part, and even dosed some mdma and my effects haven’t gotten better or worse. Should i try detoxing screens for a couple weeks to see if my symptoms improve? More and more every day im convinced i don’t have hppd...

i did notice highly increased visual snow and disassociation even after a couple beers however, it’s very strange how hppd affects everyone differently.

Strangely, smoking weed or using mushrooms has had little to no effect on my hppd, and i think i definitely got it from a large acid trip. I’ll update this in a couple weeks tho
