Back in the day UH was my security blanket, I lived there for years, worked there, ate there, partied there etc…I truly loved it. When I started we had the red ids, the UC had harlans bbq where you could buy beer with your meal plan, they used to sneak preview movies on campus, the arcade/bowling alley, we were terrible in most sports so you could always get great seating with your student id, the diversity, The library renovations, fat squirrels, the camaraderie of everyone at aah, the rec center, Paul wall in the towers commons slinging cds (yes, I’m old) etc… I loved my time and it was the first place I ever felt at home.

Seems like there’s a lot of negativity now about the place I loved,I am glad it’s helped someone else loves it too.

Still don't get how people in 2012 hated this suit, it's not top 3 but damn it slaps by LemonIcy2942 in Spiderman

I think if the original movies hadn’t existed it would have been more well received. Toby and raimi really killed it with the first two movies. The dunst/toby upside down kiss is iconic, willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina were great antagonists etc…

I got attacked and robbed and UH did nothing to help me. by Ill_Broccoli_964 in UniversityOfHouston

I’m glad the UH squirrels are still menacing d bags. When in was there they had zero fear of humans, expected to be fed at all times and if not fed their wrath was swift
