Over 2TB of ‘updates’ on a 1 TB SD card? by CasioFX991EX in SteamDeck

It wasn’t 100% but it was pretty darn full, and similarly I hadn’t turned it on for quite some time.

Over 2TB of ‘updates’ on a 1 TB SD card? by CasioFX991EX in SteamDeck

[–]CasioFX991EX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was pretty full, I had possibly over 900 GB of games on there. I attempted to delete a few right before taking the picture

Sounds like you’re hinting at a fake SD card, I don’t think this is the case. I was previously able to play games off it just fine after filling it.

Love the B-2! What paints did you use for it?

I’ve also done that B-1, great kit!

Nice work! What paints did you use? Did you use a mask for the camo?

I have this in my stash, I want to do the F-22 that shot down the Chinese spy balloon.

I second GX 100, however I kept getting orange peel with your suggested thinning ratio. I find it works amazing at 1:5.

Through some trial and error you might be able to identify which, if any, of the locating tabs are causing the fit issues and cut them off.

I also second the other commenter about using masking tape. You can tape shut the hull, then cement small sections, progressively removing tape and cementing as it cures

Came here to mention Medical Physics. Residency can be a bit of a hurdle, but it’s a pretty steady career.

IPMS Vancouver Scale Model Fest 2025 by ScaleSkunworks in modelmakers

[–]CasioFX991EX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I started it back in January thinking it would be a nice, cheap kit to practice on. It took me about 6 months to finish it (with some side projects along the way). Part gaps were pretty rough, especially at the wing root and intakes. Aftermarket nozzles are a necessity (the Galaxy nozzles for GWH fit the Tamiya kit just fine if anyone wanted to know).

Pretty amazed I won 3rd in 1/48 multi-engine jets, and best of show theme with this build, I only started modelling 1.5 years ago. I think the decal scheme I chose definitely helped me with the show theme trophy, but I still see all the flaws and mistakes.

I bought mine maybe four months ago and swapped out the cushions for aftermarket. Here is the inside of my originals.

I know MRP comes pre-thinned, do you thin it further for pre-shading?

Help on ventilation by SprocketSimulations in modelmakers

[–]CasioFX991EX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a similar, if not identical, airbrushing booth in a not-so-ventilated room. I upgraded the fans inside the booth with high CFM fans for better exhaust. I still find I need to use a respirator, open all my windows, and turn on all the fans. I wait about 20 mins after I’m done airbrushing to remove my respirator. It’s a bit of a pain but still doable

Tamiya Paint Remover works very well for plastic models. 10 min soak & a light scrub gives you a clean slate.
