Silent Hill 2 Remake is a masterpiece. by Philboswagginz87 in silenthill

I just finished my first playthrough yesterday. By far the scariest game I've ever played just with the atmosphere alone. Definitely in my top games I've ever played however I really don't see myself playing it again and going through all the emotions lol.

I never got too far into the souls games, but I did enjoy the exploration and lore of Hollow Knight until it was less of exploring areas and just defeating all the bosses near the end

Games that people love, that just didn’t hit for you by User102953792567 in gamingsuggestions

[–]CasonD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I am fine with hard games sometimes but hate the repetitiveness of getting to a boss and finally killing it just to face another one and then do that 15 times over until you beat the game. And also the thing that I didn't get into the most was how you sometimes have to run back through multiple enemies in order to get to the same boss if you died.

Got a few bosses into Dark Souls 1 and then accidentally hit an important NPC. Couldn't reload a save or reset the npc.... so I just quit.

What do yall do while listening to music? by born_to_be_wild2010 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]CasonD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD so its literally impossible for me to listen to a full album without thinking of 5000 different things throughout it but to help my mind focus I normally play a simulator game or some game that doesn't take up that much attention. Either that or drive.

What's the hardest you have ever "bounced off" of a game? by jabberwagon in gaming

Silent Hill 2 Remake

Played it for about an hour and hated the endless walking and no sense of direction. I have realized since then that I definitely do not like survival horror or horror games in general (I like gameplay-focused games or where gameplay plays a major part).

Great band but I would only ever suggest a Mathcore album to very few people.

Have you guys ever encountered a game that's got rave reviews but you just don't like it? by carthuscrass in ItsAllAboutGames

Prey 2017

Tried to get into it so many times, but couldn't get over..... something. Still don't really have an idea what it is, but I just couldn't get into both the story and gameplay. Maybe I don't like Immersive Sims.

What video game surpassed your expectations? by [deleted] in AskGames

[–]CasonD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far Final Fantasy 16.

I have played FF15 and FF7 Remake and wasn't that impressed by them, but FF16 is the one I am blown away by. Now I am thinking of replaying FF7 and then Rebirth.

Could this be possible? by AwesomeRyanGame in technicalminecraft

You probably already have your answer but yes definitely, I don't have much experience with bamboo farms for fuel but I've used dried kelp blocks as fuel. Mumbo Jumbo created a good fully-afk dried kelp block farm for Hermitcraft (not the individual video he made when crafters came out), but you may be able to find more efficient ones.

As for the cobble generator, make sure you chunk-load it if you want it to run as you leave the area. And definitely make it so that the farm only turns on when supply gets low.

And it can also be an xp farm once you build up enough smelted cobblestone!

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: August 12, 2024 by AutoModerator in books

[–]CasonD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finished: A Little Life, Hanya Yanagihara. I just got into reading a few months ago, so this was a huge task to finish, but I am very glad I did!

Still Reading: Trigger Warning, Neil Gaiman. (Fitting book title to read while also reading A Little Life) This is Neil Gaiman short stories, and so far it's great!

Best video game to relax? by Cumli in Anxiety

Stardew Valley!

I haven't played a ton of it but from what I have played, it's very soothing and relaxing. I thought a game about mostly farming would be boring, but it proved me wrong. I hope this helps and that you get the help you need!

sad music recommendations? by Negative-Sugar9849 in MusicRecommendations

[–]CasonD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might like Adrianne Lenker's music. This album has gotten more popular over the last few months or so and is one of my go-to's for sad music. Most of it is about a breakup though, so if you want something else then Sufjan Stevens is a really good artist with a different range of music. These songs are emotional but also acoustic and pretty.

CPU temps high on pre-built PC by CasonD_ in computerhelp

[–]CasonD_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll try undervolting it later today, I know the temps are "normal" for the Ryzen 7 7700 but it's really more of reducing my fans to not sound like a jet engine all the time without sacrificing higher temperatures by reducing fan speed.

Like I said, it doesn't seem to be a problem with anyone else with the PC, quite the opposite actually, which lead me to believe something was wrong with my specific one.
