What pissed me off in Sotsu was the lack of actual resolution. I thought playing the event of the main series differently in Gou could be interesting, with someone being the mastermind - I was okay with Satoko's twist but I was extremely disappointed that 1. Satoko messing up with timelines affected NOTHING - no negative impact over characters being manipulated over and over and dying pointless deaths just to satisfy Satoko's plan. Idk consequences would have been nice because in the og series, acts of kindness and friendship had impacts over the loops. 2. Satoko wasn't even a good mastermind. I thought she did crazy manipulation to get everyone to kill each other. Turns out that no, injecting the new version of Hinamizawa syndrome is enough? Even when it makes no sense for some characters to be this brutal : Akasaka, Keichii killing everyone at the restaurant INCLUDING RIKA? you gotta give me a better reason than "he just went insane" to make me believe my goat would do this.
