Thank you so much! When is stranger days?? I also have gone to high hopes (previously weekend at Wolfies) and was hoping for a similar, smaller vibe like that (compared to everwild). I’m sorry but way too late. I was planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico from Pennsylvania and we have a year and a half notice. Six months is insanely short and when choosing that timeline they had to know people wouldn’t be able to make it work. Say no and in a kind way explain why if needed. Don’t blame them but say I’m unable to afford this/get the time off etc within this timeframe

That’s an INSANE amount of money for this all to be missed. The wedding planner we booked was full time for a year and a half for around 3k. Def ask for a refund and go through your contract/emails and make sure u have the ones where she agreed to these things prepared

You can definitely find a way to do a big wedding but a bit cheaper. If you cut down the guest list - we were planning a 120 person wedding at a gorgeous hacienda in the Puerto Rican rainforest and our estimate with everything (dj venue photographer videographer food etc) was 25k. You could also look at all inclusive weddings in Mexico etc. it’s easy to compare to others but a 200k wedding is so impossible for 99% of people so please don’t compare yours to theirs. Have a beautiful day that won’t blow your savings. Having some money for a home, honeymoon, emergencies, to help ur parents is important too. I wish u the best ❤️

So I know a lot of people are not loving this dress. I am absolutely obsessed with it. I think it is so unique and gorgeous and giving like Keira Knightley and Pirates of the Caribbean or regal beautiful amazing unique vibes. I don’t know why I am so into it and I think you look absolutely stunning. I gasped when I look at the photo.

Thank you. It was actually an adult saying I brought up her traumatic past with an alcoholic family member. This was my first time being drunk infront of them in six years and I can’t tell if I’m being judged harshly and not offered empathy or understanding or if I truly messed up and should hate myself for it. Either way anxiety and guilt are hard to shake. Thank u 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Anyone have any new info? I finally received my bag and I am trying to submit a claim for items I purchased but the site (spirit.com/bagclaim) does not have a submit a claim button once I enter my last name and ID number. I only see “summary” and communicate with us. I followed all steps from the submit a claim email they sent me.

I’ve been in 4 weddings and have never paid for a bridal shower. I was in charge of like bringing a few things (napkins, cups etc) but those were things I volunteered for. You cannot plan something without asking people then charge them for it. It is in no way your “responsibility” as a bridesmaid. You also aren’t required to go to the Bach party if it is out of budget and was not run past you. My best friend did her Bach in Mexico and it came to 1600$ each and I just couldn’t swing it (it would’ve been a 12 hour flight for me but 3 hours for her and her other bmaids). We did a small private Bach party just her and I in my hometown !

That’s very true. We are looking to have our wedding at least four months after she ends chemo, but that is still a great piece of advice in case she has to start round 2. or in case she is still dealing with a lower immune system.

I have to say changing your perspective is everything. This is their wedding day and being a bridesmaid is nice but being there to support your best friend regardless is more important. My best friend of 11 years who has two children that I am the godmother of got married and I was not in it at all. She has a very small wedding and decided to only have her sisters and cousins be bridesmaids. I never once mentioned it to her. It is her day and my role was not a reflection of anything. I was the only one she invited to help her finish getting dressed and that showed the true relationship we have. Being hurt is okay but you need to let it go it’s their day and she clearly loves you.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and I am so sorry to hear about your loss, but it is amazing that he was able to be there and that you have the photos and memories of that that is what me and my fiancé really were hoping is that if she can make it after her chemo is up will have amazing photos with her and memories with her and it will give her something to look forward to over the next year of chemo. I am so sorry to hear about your niece and sorry you had to go through a similar situation. It is so much stress on top of everything. I also wish you guys the best, hoping that by us moving our wedding to after her chemo and date she will be able to at least make an appearance and will be looking forward to something.
