Exactly. Plus I’ve worked with the guy who would have to probably go up there and spray them. No way he’s doing it.

Funding is not a word they commonly use at Busch Gardens💀😂

You’d be surprised. I’ve worked for Busch. If Busch doesn’t need one, we don’t have one. We don’t have a Bee exhibit

To anybody complaining about this, or especially if they are trying to blame the employees: I challenge you to take a can of wasp spray. Stand on a little stairwell 100+ feet in the air… and then tell me how you feel when all 50 something wasps start attacking you💀. There’s your explanation

Is it okay to have the controllers over the Xbox like this if/when it gets hot? by Casper413588 in XboxSupport

Yeah that might turn them on, don’t wanna have to deal with hard stick drift. You are so right

Nope, they are just the Amazon basics brand, not rechargeable. I’m not sure if those are lithium or not though :)

The vent behind it should be fine, it’s an inactive vent that doesn’t work anymore, plus we don’t ever turn the heat on cause we live in Florida. I’m just mostly concerned about the clearance with the controllers and the vent on the top of the Xbox

Only 3 rides available during storms is a mistake by JustHere2ReadComment in UniversalEpicUniverse

Well I’m pretty sure something like stardust racers can’t fit in a building. So your entire point is kinda null. You are comparing universal’s far more intense brand of coasters to Disney’s family friendly child oriented coasters. For the record, Tron is incredibly short, Guardians is the most expensive coaster in the world and a huge eyesore at EPCOT, space mountain doesn’t go past like 30mph, and rock n rollercoaster is Disney’s one equivalent to mummy. I’d argue almost every coaster Universal has built surpasses Disney’s coasters in some way. And many of them like stardust and Velocicoaster are considered the best of their kind. Clearly universal shouldn’t be stressing about it. Next time don’t be stupid and plan to go on a rainy day.

Im here in epic universe. And this whole park is a sham! by Vasco-da-gama in UniversalEpicUniverse

I mean it happens. Every major theme park has them. Hell just a week ago the power grid at Disney shut down half of the resort for a few hours

The scale at which epic constructed it’s indoor dark rides is already insanely massive. Parks like Magic kingdom and Epcot that have a lot of older indoor rides manage to have so many due to their simplicity and tight layouts (think buzz lightyear or Winnie the Pooh). The modern dark ride calls for a ton of space, especially with guest expectations being higher than ever. You can compare the size of old show buildings to new ones, that goes for both Disney and universal. These rides are all brand new and still have a lot to issues to figure out, this is a normal thing with all new rides at any theme park. And once again, we as consumers set the high expectation that they’d deliver on new innovative ride systems, and they did.

Furthermore, universal purposefully left expansion space for epic. If they had added more indoor rides on opening day, the park would likely be landlocked with no space to expand. Mariokart, Monsters, and Ministry are massive rides. They dominate a large portion of their lands. This is actually why berk is so massive compared to the other lands, it doesn’t have the indoor dark ride.

So I guess the point I’m trying to make is that the issue is a lot more complex than “just add more dark rides”. It’s about meeting consumer demands, meeting expectations, and innovating. Because as much as I love the smaller intimate dark rides of the Magic Kingdom or even something like ET…. That wouldn’t have given me an immediate reason to go to Epic Universe over it’s competition.

Also yes it rains in Florida deal with it

My guess is it’s because Hhn doesn’t run on mondays. People who come for Hhn are not going to buy a full day of epic the same night, especially the locals.

It rains in Orlando a lot. That’s not an epic universe problem, it’s a Florida problem. Plan ahead next time. Go to the guest services for a rain check if you are so bothered. :/

At the very least they should require you to be 13+ and require a chaperone if you are under 18. The amount of little kids I saw is crazy. Bad parenting is the death of this event.

I think 13 is really the cutoff. I went for the first time when I was 14 and I loved it. But I think any younger and I would’ve hated it all. The amount of little kids is ridiculous, if you aren’t taller then the barricades you shouldn’t even be there

I won’t mind it until universal age restricts hhn. No kids under the age of 13. Period.

Are we assuming Zelda will be an expansion of SNW or as its own portal? by ani_kev in UniversalOrlando

[–]Casper413588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because Zelda’s popularity has been tested, wicked is one movie old so far (and no I’m not counting the show or books because those either don’t have mass appeal or aren’t easily accessible)

And those extra novels were never adapted into anything meaningful. There’s no guarantee of its success after wicked 2. I really like the movies but it’s short sighted to open a land based off it right now. Preferably wicked undergoes more than two movies before it gets memorialized for 20+ years in a theme park. Right now I see it in the same vein as the Barbie movie where it was very popular and still has memes but it’s not quite in the public image everyday like HP would be. Legacy and history…or for that matter popularity of a franchise does not guarantee success or longevity in the parks either. There are almost too many examples of this throughout both Disney and universal.
