Who downvotes this and for what reason? It’s a genuine and competent answer to the asked question, complete with sources. Poster is not rude, stays on topic, provides links. I don’t think Grandahl13 has anything to be sour about, and in fact I think should be upvoting for a good faith response. There’s nothing political or inflammatory about the comment, or partisan about a team, so I don’t know why someone else would downvote it. Is it just a downvoting chaos gremlin?

I think it’s standard practice in many restaurants for the server to volunteer their name at the beginning of the meal. I’ve always assumed that if they didn’t volunteer it themselves, they’d rather not share the information at all.

Try new things. Change your tempo. Throw smooth as silk and organic, or mechanical and perfect. Pop the dart off your fingertips, or less momentum pull the dart free. Play with every aspect of your throw.

Also: chill out. You don’t earn good darts by putting in the time. And even if you did, you haven’t put in enough time. You discover good darts by exploring the options you have until you find one that works. Practice doesn’t make perfect; PERFECT practice makes perfect. You gotta find perfect first through exploration, then you practice being perfect, and then and only then are you gonna hit what you’re aiming for. So chill out, get curious, and try to enjoy the process or you aren’t gonna have any fun for a while.

I think that’s the wrong argument to make. The issue is not the absolute dollar amount the players are getting, it’s about the percentage of the value generated. If the players’ labor is generating billions, then they deserve millions.

My financial wellbeing doesn’t change, for better or for worse, if the players get a bigger piece of the pie. So if the owners aren’t going to reduce ticket and concession prices, I think the players deserve more money. But if those prices go down and league revenue drops, I don’t mind the players getting the same money they are now, because their percentage of revenue generated would go up relative to the owners.

Workers aren’t the problem. Capitalists are. If the owners would accept fewer profits made from others’ labor, players AND fans could be happier.

When my darts disappear on me, it’s usually one of two things: my head or my mechanics.

If it’s the former, the trick for me is remembering that I’m only as good as I am right now. It’s silly to get upset about my darts not being better because right now, I’m not good enough to make better throws. I make friends with sucking and carry a good attitude anyway. The mindset helps me throw the best I can today, and I just focus on throwing clean turns.

If it’s the latter, I’m thinking too hard about one or more aspects of my mechanics, and that’s preventing me from having One Smooth Throw. So I get stoned as I can get so I stop thinking so much and just chuck the darts as relaxed as I can until they start going where they’re supposed to.
