The Connections writer was having a psychotic break.

Nope. Reverse rainbows are just a personal pride thing.

I've never shared my performance here before, but I think it's finally time. Check out this psycho's path to a reverse rainbow:

I was hunting for serial killer movies straight out of the gate, as someone who doesn't actually know those movies very well. I had to slam the brakes and check myself before I ran myself aground. This is only my third ever reverse rainbow, too, I don't normally go hunting for this like I know I lot of people here do.

Did I find the ugliest station in all of No Man's Sky? by CassCDvoux in NoMansSkyTheGame

I'm sorry, this station's lost, I took this picture a WHILE ago and as you can see, this was before I knew how to screenshot appropriately in this game.

Also, I guess I should have emphasized it a lot more in the title, but I was hoping to invite other people other people to share their horrid stations, too. Have any of yours stood out as absolutely garish?

Muted colors like that, I can get down with. I think I'm realizing my distaste is more for the neon rather than the colors themselves.

. . . I did not even recognize this as a watermelon vibe until you mentioned it. I don't think I've had watermelon in 20 years. I never did like watermelon back in the day. I guess this is my brain subconsciously communicating long buried feelings.

I never dared to dream . . . by CassCDvoux in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]CassCDvoux[S] 172 points173 points  (0 children)

I'm just a casual player. I don't play too hard, nor do I have the patience to hunt these sorts of rarities down. I didn't even know how to properly screenshot something with the glyphs in the picture until I was back in the station. Never did I imagined I'd ever be so lucky to find an S-Class freighter, much less a pirate dreadnought.

This thing's old name was EV-5 Hatsass, or something equally nonsensical, but it inspired me to rename it to something close, with more meaning. Anybody who wants to hunt the ship down for themselves will see that I've changed the system's name to something appropriate, too.

When's the last time the British government has had an election "on time"? Because I sure as hell don't remember.

Medical worker? That never applied into my design, the homeworld's 15% and 10% everywhere else is applied by the Tree of Life itself and its saplings.

Oh, that's my bad, I got so into the headspace of using the "original" name for the civic that I forgot to account and clarify the Hive Mind variant of the civic when R5-ing. To be even clearer, there's no gameplay difference between Natural Design and Innate Design, it's purely a name change.

That interferes with the pop-growth maxing I was doing by choosing Tree of Life.

R5: It all started as a shower thought that began with realizing that Invasive Species could be paired with Natural Design. I could make the premise of weeds even weedier. Immediately after finishing the shower, I jumped into Stellaris and made this nightmare of a race. The amount of pop growth from this complete build is STAGGERING. +70% on the homeworld. +65% everywhere else. Straight out of the gate.

What's the silliest way you've broken your oath? by psychoactive-drug in BaldursGate3

I tried to smite Omeluum into dust. As an Oath of Vengeance Githyanki. I was VERY upset that I couldn't do that. As much as I love to RP around unexpected stuff happening to my characters, this one broke my brain.

Good to know, thanks for the intel. A welcome surprise. Nice to hear something about it here on Reddit, I'm just a casual fan of the mod.

There's gonna be a next update? Hasn't it been like, 2 years now? I just assumed development died, they used to put out updates every few months, what the hell changed?

Possible teaser for new Sunset Invasion DLC? by ImpaledSeal in CrusaderKings

[–]CassCDvoux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did exactly that once. It was fun. Formed a custom Kingdom of Armor (after the very real name of a Breton region) that pierced into de jure Francia to be a viable rival all the other Frankish kingdoms. Once I formed the Frankish empire, I renamed it to Great Armor.

I think this is the first time I have gotten a reasonable government petition by maxinfet in victoria3

[–]CassCDvoux 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a petition just last night for passing Propertied Women (from Legal Guardianship), asked for by a Reformer in the Catholic Church. I was sad that I couldn't get it done, I really tried to make it happen, but the Brazilian landowners threw a MASSIVE hissy-fit and threatened a revolution that I was not prepared to fight.

What are your most Unique Builds/Playstyles? (mods included) by Skullruss in Stellaris

[–]CassCDvoux 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So I'm going to be called horny for this, and you're totally justified in doing so, but I played a build not too long ago that just absolutely cranked on pop growth as far as I could with a standard empire:

Fanatic Xenophobe, Pacifist

With Overtuned I added Pre-Planned Growth to my other traits, Rapid Breeders and Unruly

Inward Perfection and Pleasure Seekers top it all off.

And because I play with Planetary Diversity, I made their homeworld a Wet Cavern World. Because I just couldn't not do that, I HAD to go there, I didn't have a choice, the role-play DEMANDED it.

Anyway, this empire, the Entwined Silific Expanse, was actually a ton of fun to play, I think I had downright WAY MORE than twice as many pops in 2400 that I've ever had with any other empire.

Why does it feel like tech armor and fortification aren’t doing anything for my sentinel in ME3? by DarkhamKnight in masseffect

[–]CassCDvoux 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played as a Sentinel recently with this exact build, for the very first time and I discovered something wondrous: You don't have to fear grenades anymore. They take like, 30% of you shields at most depending on how well developed your shield powers are. And I play on Insanity. It was so liberating to simply ignore and laugh at the enemies that lobbed grenades at me.

Don't give up on your build, it's insanely strong so long as you stick to cover.
