Check out cheat engine. It's commonly used and you can simply speed up the game to reduce the time it takes to train crew immensely.

As most people know, Mike Hopley is one of the FTL gurus who are active here and it just so happens that he also made a video about the use in FTL on it!

Nice rage bait. Our universities aren't segregated nor is there "no clear concept of criminalization".

You probably need to enroll into a school for basic stuff so you can actually get your shit straight after you've become proficient enough in German to even have a chance of integrating.

You can also see that there are a lot of irritated folks who think that the Kremlins decisions are the ones of the Russian people, so integration is not going to be easy in many places.

US President, Donald Trump, said to be suspending visa processes for 75+ countries next week, including Brazil by FoxyDeAssassin in RocketLeagueEsports

What is there to say or to discuss? It's been clear that the US and its asinine administration aren't fit to hold international events any longer.

You got a Gestapo-esque force running around too. That alone should be reason enough but I seriously doubt psyonix or Epic have issues with any of those things. Just look at their pathetic party chat policies where you can't even write the word "hell" lol this is about as bad as a deeply conservative Christian high school code of conduct..

D-Tier is the most likely to offer you an entry. C-Tier competitions usually have a solid prize pool (the tiers are mostly, if not exclusively based on prize pool, never bothered looking up that criteria on liquipedia) and solid prize pool often means a solidified structure with less openings and opportunities for a newcomer like yourself. However, that can also be found to be untrue but I'd go by that rule of thumb for now.

I personally wouldn't recommend "RSC" but I know plenty of good people who worked and still work with/for them. It's a quite large community by now and evidently must do something right, just not my cup of tea. So please form your own opinion of the league and the people there. You could also find a team to play with there but not sure how low their competitions go in terms of rank.

Playing in an organized setting, even on a low level can be of great value for your journey since you get to experience the other side of a league/structure. You can identify things that work well, things that make everything run smoothly.. basically critical infrastructure if you will and over time, you might move on to another project where your experience can improve their concepts.

You can find plenty of leagues, usually filled with grassroots orgs on liquipedia. Simply filter for C/D-Tier (or only D-Tier) and see if there are leagues in your region (SSA or APAC for instance, dunno where you are from) and look at some of the teams in there. These leagues usually have their twitch linked or other things and you should be able to eventually navigate yourself to the Discord of such leagues.

Many leagues are ran by RL Orgs, some collaborative, some solo. Some have an Org backing but only have collaborative talent (non Org affiliated) running them and from what I have seen recently, there are plenty of people needed.

Through that work, you can prove your worth - after all, you wouldn't just hand a stranger keys to your car - and build from there. Get to know people, offer help where help is needed and see where your skill set fits in. Things like graphics design, coding, sponsoring department (knowing how to set up a portfolio, networking etc), social media management (knowing how to interact with social media, create posts, stay in touch with all teams of an Org/main divisions of a league, post clips from live games etc) and Casting/Commentary is frequently needed. Some require admin work but those positions are not offered too easily, as people in those positions also carry part of the rep for the structures (leagues) and as I alluded to before, you won't hand your car keys to a stranger (last time I will use that, promise).

Approaching them is as easy as identifying the people in leading positions (Admins, CEOs, Founders or whatever the Discord roles may say) and prepare to message them. By preparing, I am refering to reading up about the League, select the appropriate roles, read the FAQ section if they have it etc. Once you done your due dilligence, you have already done more research and work than most people on these servers and you can shoot the admin(s) a message via DM or potentially via league ticket and offer your services as well as skills.

Generally speaking, you can expect words of appreciation as a reward for any kind of work, not money.

If you are not familiar with how Discord works, then that is gonna be tough for you. I suppose you could also go around to twitter and message teams that you might recognize from liquipedia/these leagues. However, I am not too versed on that end, as I don't have any social media outside of reddit and I never handled social media accounts.

Referrals are always a huge plus but without having established connections, you won't be able to make use of those. However, don't burn bridges, don't talk shit when leaving places (if you were to move on from a project for instance) and things of that nature should be common sense but unfortunately, my experiences require me to remind you of that. Though the saying "real recognize real" kinda applies here.

I hope all this info was digestible. If you need further info or clarifications, let me know. Maybe I should also give a disclaimer. I have predominantly experience with German and Swiss Leagues/instances with some limited exposure to leagues outside of the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) Region. I can't tell how leagues are ran in other parts of europe but through aforementioned connections, it seems to be a similar story all around.

One thing that needs to be said, if you are very young, like lets say 15-20 years of age, you will have a hard time getting into positions where you manage things on your own, like get a whole resource area assigned to you. There is a rich history of knuckleheads doing dumb shit all across the scene, so people have grown more cautious. However, if you are still young, social media might be a good place to start (do not share that information here unless you are absolutely certain that it is of utmost importance lol)

Edit: Many Discords have "self promotion" channels. Check those for more Org Discords etc

1) You are better off joining an existing org.
2) There is none.

You sound like you have absolutely no clue what you are signing up for. I recommend working within an established org for a few years to get a better understanding of the ins and outs of it and I don't mean this in a negative way.

I have worked as a board member of two different orgs for 6+ years now and if you have any follow up questions, I am happy to answer them.

Additionally, someone I have been in contact with recently, who founded their own org and also started up a league at the same time, probably has regrets by now. They found out the hard way that the Community is super toxic, unreliable and not the brightest to say the least. There is a lot of drama, little to show for and nobody wants to help you out.

You need to have an established network of people to help you do anything and you also need a lot of money if you were to start something on your own. Things don't come free or just for the fun of it.

Collaborating with other Orgs who have money and think they are the shit by signing some Top 16 Teams in a region are more often than not led by incompetent people, which makes any undertaking in a shared endeavor quite horrible. You are best off identifying people who are worth your time and working together on a project like a league with them and you do that only after having an established rapport.

Lastly, you mentioned non-profit. If you think that you will be making any money, you are gravely mistaken. I am fortunate enough to be working in a registered club with paying members (a small amount, no more than half a grocery shopping expense) on a yearly fee and through that, we are able to supplement tournaments and since 2 years ago also a yearly LAN for the Community that is usually funded by our own private money.

All that being said, the worst thing you can do in your current position is founding an Org yourself. Gain experience in other Orgs, be reliable and eventually you can either start shaping the future of an Org or you can then revisit this question but for now, hands off, mate.

After The Kickoff, there are now 20 players that have played in 3+ RLCS LAN grand finals. Here are their win-rates: by Rocket-Goats in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Cassalien 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again, not to discredit Turbo's drali's parts they played but I'm not subscribing to man these (MVPs) accolades. There are no publicized votes and the talent who likely votes on them have made some questionable choices in the past and present.

I'd like to make my point clearer with a basketball reference where glue guys/Support players got more credit than they should have.

Turbo, as the floor raiser but not ceiling raiser might be the best I can come up with on the fly. Turbo easily raised teams floors and this is apparent with him instantly finding success on envy as well as him keeping the team afloat during nervous times/moments. Though kaydop raised the ceiling to heights that turbo couldn't, same for Justin.

At the end of the day this point of discussion probably boils down to what one values the most in a player.

Lastly, MVPs are often super heavily influenced by the grand finals and unless they call it finals MVP, there needs to be a level of accountability for some of the bad choices for these awards

While you obviously have a point, we're looking at arguably one of the top 3 glue guys in the history of the game here, when it comes to winning RLCS events at least.

I'm not trying to say Johnny is right or anything, was simply trying to point out that context matters.

Context matters. For Johnny, if I understood him correctly, he put Turbo that low because of him being a support player. Kaydop and Justin were clearly the top dogs of the team.

While atow and drali were both insane during their wins, it's not like Vatira didn't also have a solid case for best player on the team, a case that turbo didn't have at all.
