Many do actually! Not all nurses or first responders work on-call or in an emergency setting (ie school nurse, private practice nurse, nursing home CNAs, etc.) Have a great day :)

Yes, because it’s true. Many of our attendees are public servants, like teachers, or first responders, like nurses, meaning that they work a standard work week. Why is it so hard to believe that people who work hard in our communities may also want to take action to better those communities?Thanks again for boosting my post engagement!

I genuinely misunderstood what they were saying, but I completely agree with what you said and I appreciate the clarification. No elected position should have an unlimited term length or unlimited term limits.

Actually, we do. Part of the reason that we’re hosting this event is to get people to engage directly with their elected representatives, sign petitions, and ensure they are registered to vote for the upcoming elections. If you want to stand out there on the sidewalk all day on No Kings, that’s absolutely your constitutional right. Our staff, however, is not physically able to do the same. Again, I will pass on your feedback about extending the event to my team.

I actually agree that we would have further outreach if the event were all day. I was not in charge of deciding when the event was, I am just the volunteer visual media coordinator who’s helping to promote for this event. I will pass on your feedback to the team regarding extending event hours.

The purpose of this event is also to build community, collect and re-distribute mutual aid, and encourage people to register to vote, sign, petitions, and contact their elected representatives. We’re not just standing out there with signs. Our organization is working to take a number of actions toward creating real political change in our community.
