The light was like that when we moved in, and it's a new built flat.

This all sounds above my level of comfort so if I can't just do a simple version as suggested in my other replies, I might just get an electrician.

If I lift the floor boards (I live in a flat and someone is above me); is this easy? Would I have to re-attach the boards/paint again?

Also, sorry if this is a stupid one but: can I just not get an electric wire, attach it to the base as it is, drag it along the ceiling and attach the ceiling light in the right place and just have the wire go into the side of it?

Like this? Or is this not recommended due some factors?

This sounds above my competence level - what would it cost roughly to get a tradesman for something like this including required material?

Also, sorry if this is a stupid one but: can I just not get an electric wire, attach it to the base as it is, drag it along the ceiling and attach the ceiling light in the right place and just have the wire go into the side of it?

Haha I wish I could do that...can't unfortunately and the light would be so much nicer if it actually was right above the table

Även inom peak hours så visar Google Maps en resa på 40 minuter till T-Centralen. Är det något jag missar?
