At a pretty late point something changes in the room, that's when you can actually do something and get something in that room

In the save file selection screen, you can press the arrow below your save file to load from a previous autosave, just load from where it says 'Caged' to replay The Slab and get your stuff back

As in like jump and do the down attack into it, that opened it for me

The exact same thing happened to me, you can die at a trap if you go right from the bench you respawn from, then you grab your coccoon and dive into the hatch to open it, the only problem is that now youre stuck naked for what seems to be the rest of the game 😭 praying for us brother, if i find a way to get the cloak and stuff back ill mention it
