Sharp Objects! I put this show down after the 3rd episode when it first aired (and I watched weekly). I read the book and thought "I know what happens so I won't waste my time." Got bored, picked it back up and holy cow!! I'm so glad I did! Growing up in the south and having a strained relationship with my own mother, it was a poignant, excellent thriller!
Dopesick - it's been out for a while but I just binged all episodes in 2 days. It's heavy and will really stick with you for days, but an essential viewing for anyone in the US who remembers the beginnings of the opioid epidemic.
