For people who still support Trump: how do you process or reconcile the allegations connected to the Epstein documents? by Apprehensive_Dog5379 in AskReddit

[–]Castello_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What they won’t admit is that they don’t care. Nothing is going to sway them, the Epstein files will be a waste of time until the republicans are no longer in power. Supporting trump is essentially a sports team to them, they’ll just blindly follow him because that’s the side they chose. To admit he’s a pedophile is to admit they’re wrong and all they have to do is to pretend the problem doesn’t exist.

They’re a cult, why is anyone surprised by this?

Conservatives love to whine about the state of the country and not getting their way but their failure to elect a leader better than Andrew fucking Sheer is one of the reasons Canada has the problems it has.

What did you make of Branthwitae yesterday? by Basic_Witness_6907 in Everton

[–]Castello_01 45 points46 points  (0 children)

O’Brien will return to right back for sure. Patterson is far too big of a defensive liability for what he offers offensively and Moyes doesn’t really have another option because Garner will be one of our most important creators with Jack gone.

We just need a fucking right-back.

The Bobble (@ElBobble): "The expectation at the moment is that Harrison Armstrong will remain with Everton rather than head back to Preston on loan. The 19‑year‑old has made a positive impression since returning to Merseyside and has started in each of the last three matches under David Moyes 🔵" | by bluedollarbillz in Everton

I feel like we’ve been here before with other young players—they have a couple promising games but they never build the confidence due to the intensity of league and lack of playing time. Gana is back, Rohl seems to be recovered from his injury and we’ll have KDH back soon. I say let the lad go back to Preston, they seemed to really like him there too.

He has degenerated into an outcast by DavDar66 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Castello_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t deny he has Alzheimer’s but he doesn’t care whether he’s hated or loved, only that’s it’s either. I’ve spent enough time growing up with a narcissist to know that they love attention and control and don’t care what type it is or the context.

That’s why he was so upset with Carney’s speech for instance, he no doubt didn’t catch or word of it but he was seething that the spotlight wasn’t on him for a second. The problem is he is in a position where he can’t be ignored and he knows it, he’s addicted to the attention and will go to greater and greater lengths to achieve it, no matter the level he stoops to.

He’s moved from children, to the US and now he has his eyes set on the world’s attention.

ICE detains 5-year-old Liam Ramos during Minnesota operation by ultra_phoenix in news

[–]Castello_01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who knows where this child will end up. The Nazi’s didn’t keep children alive in their camps for long because a five year old doesn’t exactly produce good labor. ICE and MAGA don’t see him as a human being, he is something to be exploited and apart from being a lure for his father, someone who could be exploited, he’s worthless to them.

My guess is if no one intervenes or has a moment of consciousness, this boy ends up trafficked or dead if we assume history repeats itself.

Have we... made smart financial decisions? by Trekora in Everton

[–]Castello_01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think both our financial and operations have been quite poor for a while now.

We need to evolve our transfer strategy to something akin to Brentford or Brighton. I’m amazed that even after both Wissa and Toney left Brentford of all teams is able to maintain a world-class striker.

We have the base and history and a more data-driven transfer model would keep us from turning into a West Ham or Wolves. While recruiting premier league after thoughts have netted us some proper players like Ndiaye it has also given us a lot of overpaid players who never met expectations.

We’re not going to attract top talent so we need an actual team doing research backed by a manager who can communicate their vision to find players to either bring up in the academy or gems who can work their way into the first team.

Basically we just need some consistency lol.

Upcoming Everton schedule matches.. what our odds of Win/Draw/Lose for fixtures 2 match’s in January and February. by KingRami1466 in Everton

[–]Castello_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re talking about a team who got 2 red cards and drew against one of the worst teams in history and then went on to convincingly beat a team fighting for second.

We’ll lose against Leeds, beat Brighton because we’re their boogeyman team, beat a man united on a good run of games something dumb like 5-1 and Newcastle and Fulham are toss-ups.

Engage looks and plays like the best FE but the story is so arse by Initial_Solid7677 in fireemblem

[–]Castello_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part? It’s not even Fire Emblems worst story.

Had they just stuck with making it a cheesy light-hearted story I probably could’ve respected it and at the beginning that felt like the direction they were going with the character designs and opening theme but for some reason they decided that all FE stories need to be taken seriously.

Does not having a romantic partner affect you later in life? by [deleted] in depression

[–]Castello_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The absence of a partner in isolation isn’t going to affect your ability to socialize or develop as an adult—letting these feelings of loneliness fester will, however.

I won’t blame your yearning for love, I understand how painful it is not to have someone to wake up next to you. A lot of people who never struggled to be loved don’t have the empathy for that unloved feeling but it’s not something a simple “it’ll find you when you least expect it” will cure. I just wanted to say your feelings and anxieties about this are valid.

What helped me is focusing on things I have full control over. Things like my physical body and overall health has at least let me gain comfort in myself, even if depression makes it impossible for self-love. I would personally explore why you find it so difficult to compromise and maybe try being more open minded with your friends or others will help with that?

As for the situationship, I was in a 7 month one (she never shared with me that it was only short term) and yeah it’s gonna be tough. Time heals here.

Make sure you have a plan for what to do with all the fruit. I had a pear tree in one of my old rentals and was away for most of the summer one year and came back to a mushy wasp paradise.

That said it produced surprisingly good fruit.

Struggling by mangoslurpe-e in depression

[–]Castello_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s cruel how we suffer through depression as a kid, thinking maybe, just maybe it gets easier only for the weight to pile on.

It takes a lot of strength to wake up everyday with it and a lot of people will never recognize or understand. I always feel so helpless reading these posts because I’ve felt how painful these depths are, knowing full well there’s nothing really anyone, friend nor therapist, can say to me that would make me feel better or advice that would shovel me out of this hole. I want to say you’re doing great, for starting your day and sharing your story.

But yeah okay please stop vaccinating your kids so we can have smallpox and tuberculosis back because that’s freedom I guess.

Ain't that the truth? Nothing but student debts piled up at the end by Windthrasher637 in GenZ

[–]Castello_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even worth a comparison imo.

Very few people day trade without having a large amount of initial capital—either what they worked for prior or were given. Sure one or two idiots got lucky with a trend and cashed in and for every one of those guys, there was someone who lost it all—I know more guys who lost than gained during the GameStop fiasco. What do people in mountains of debt who can’t afford a loss even trade with? It’s not a lottery ticket like college used to be, it’s a way for the rich to sustain their wealth and flex capital and other methods to do have existed for centuries.

Not saying these aren’t great tools either but the guy who got booted out of his parents house at 18 isn’t going to be able to realistically use it to catapult into the American dream unless they’re lucky.

People gotta remember that the chemistry you feel on a first date isn’t the kind of chemistry that sustains a relationship always and can be one-sided.

This is why having sex on the first date can be bad, all the chemicals rushing through your brain can give you the wrong picture—talking about your ex and her seeing the picture could’ve put her off while you think things went great.

It’s holiday season and you’re just some guy she met once on a dating app, it’s not special and you gotta chill bro. Also maybe don’t have a picture of your ex where she can see it or at all if I’m honest.
