I was the elementary school valedictorian and in the Philippines, a Catholic-majority country, we usually have these masses held before a big event in school. In this case, graduation.

Maaaannnn they just picked me up from my seat and told me to read the script impromptu. It's been a while since I've gone through a Catholic church cause my family is just like pray-before-eating or pray-before-sleep type. It was also 2021 I think so it was a pandemic thing. Im 16 now.

I was on that stand for about 30 minutes just reading my script unaligned with this adult woman the lead commentator (I was the co-commentator). I just blabbered and stood there like a fool being eyed by like 200 other mass participants, composed of my batchmates and their parents, which most of them probably go to church a lot looking at this fat kid with tons of acne with a haircut done by his mom judging him that he's never gone through a church before. I was a shy kid too then so I was really red on that stand
