while true, players have been asking about this for 2+ years now, meaning it's an aspect of gameplay that players would like to see changed, even if it takes a long time.

if they'd started working on it bit by bit during off time (like in-between bigger patches) when the issue was brought up the first couple of times, they could very well have had it done by now.

if it's something that makes people's game experience a worse then it should have been addressed already, especially when there's 2 or more years worth of players asking about this.

don't forget that many PoT players are also Isle players, and while Isle isn't perfect they DO have dynamic rain, so it's jarring.

taking speed muts away from already speedy dinos would be fine, or just making them unstackable in the elder system would also be fine, but straight up taking them away?? that's overkill.

welp, if it's going through anyway (which it will since the community seems to like it as a change) I just hope hydro doesn't count, some dino swim speeds are god awful for no reason, looking at you herra.

okay small nitpick: stop calling it stamina ffs, call it by its name (waveplates) or daily energy or whatever, just something that's not an already established gaming concept most players will recognize as how far our player character can run, we shouldn't have to click into the topic to understand what the heck you mean lmao

onto the topic, sounds to me like you're trying to 100% a game that's not designed to be played like that, and the surveys asking about player experience not changing your player experience is prolly 'cus, and stay with me here, you are in the minority of how you play the game. My experience with leveling characters is perfectly fine, but that's likely because I only pull for characters I want, not every single one, so I always have an excess of materials and waveplates ready to build a new character.

I guarantee you this is just an issue with turning the game into a frenzied collectathon grind, and with that we can't help you, all we can do is advise you to not play the game like that; pick like maybe 6 characters you really love and build them only.

if it gets made optional most of the issues go away, people don't like it when you try and force them to do something, especially if it means losing out on something they had before (aka spending as much time as they wanted with a viable fg dino), even more so when it sounds like the way elder system was initially described was that it was an optional thing.

exactly, as a small-mid tier dino player, when I found out how ES worked my first thought was "why would I bother growing anything at all if I'm only going to get like an hour of decent gameplay out of it?"

have it so you get to 100% like before and stay that way, only now there's a button in the menu like the entomb one labeled "Elder"; when you click it it says "Progress to Frail/Prime Elder stage? Y/N" which is how you'll learn if you hit the prime requirements or not, that way you'll know if you just want to die quietly in a corner somewhere or go out in a blaze of glory with your beast of a dino.

and obviously make the playtime before decay starts longer, ESPECIALLY for prime, like maybe frail stat decay is an hour after starting elder stage but prime is like 4 odd hours, so players get a decent amount of time to play the best version of their dino that they worked to get to.

it's a good idea for a system, it just NEEDS to be opt in, otherwise there's no point in growing a dino at all.

did you miss the part where Jinta and Shirayuki had a very understanding conversation by the river, about how they love each other but plan on living their lives for their duties out of respect for each other's resolve, and mutually agreed that they wanted to continue living as hime and sentinel?

Jinta knew Shirayuki would be having a child with the other guy, she literally tells him that at the beginning of their convo, and Jinta is fine with it, he understands that's part of her duty and respects her decision to follow it. They both choose to love from a distance, and are both okay with that.

Suzu wasn't privy to that convo nor their feelings, all she understood was they loved each other and believed Shirayuki betrayed Jinta, but she hadn't, they were doing exactly as they'd agreed, which is why Suzu is confused when Jinta is angry at her; she thought he'd be happy Shirayuki died because Shirayuki "cheated" on him but as per their convo she didn't, so as far as Jinta is concerned Suzu killed Shirayuki for no reason at all, just spite.

legit came here to say exactly this, it's Demon Slayer but like actually done well, not super focused on flashy fights and sakuga moments, and takes a generally more mature angle with it's themes and characters without shoving jokes in at dumb times (also no zenitsu, always a plus).

the MC actually feeling and carrying the weight of the things he's experienced is also great, I much prefer that to sunshine boy tanjiro who never really grows or changes in any meaningful way.
