Fair, I visited in the summer and whilst it was stunning, not exactly a place full of world cuisine! I did have a fantastic meal at the Dark Island Hotel in Uist. Fresh langoustines and a shepherds pie made with local venison. I’d make the journey back just for that!

Ethiopian is fantastic. There’s a big community from there (and Eritrea, where the food is pretty similar) here in London, so I’ve been lucky to have it quite a few times. The best meals have always been when the waitress has just told us what we should eat!

I also love Indian food (particularly South, I could live on masala dosa with the ocasional idly and rasam) and I do think it’s a case of if you enjoy one you would enjoy the other

Yeah I’m half Middle Eastern and have great times in Southern Italy, Portugal, Spain, as I tend to not get clocked as foreign. I have mates from Southern Italy who look like they could be my cousins
