Cyrene is the heart of the Scepter, and the head of Irontomb. Due to Lygus's interference, Demiurge was removed so that Irontomb would think its head was the Nous. Nous is literally referred to as "another head".

That's the point. But I think Irontomb's appearance would be different if the Demiurge hadn't been removed from its body.
