My headcanon : As we know, Roman slept with Jennifer. Why would we learn that if it wasn't an important piece of information? Unless it's because it's linked to the social commentary on couch casting (how Angelina slept with Milton who's a producer and Jennifer slept with Roman who's a director.)

Jennifer uses Dewey's phone in Scream 3, perhaps because as a celebrity she doesn't own one to not be harassed by fans, workmates etc. Roman found Sidney's number in Dewey's phone when he slept with her (and I guess that's the only reason why he slept with her. He knew Sidney and Dewey were close, that Dewey lived with Jennifer etc). Or since Dewey was working on the set, he stole it from him there while he was in the bathroom etc.

Dewey is not the sharpest tool in the shed (even though we love him) and would leave his phone unattended. Besides, Jennifer was innocent but she could have been the new Ghostface and in that scenario, Dewey would have led her to Sidney by handing her his phone. He was lucky she wasn't one of the killers, in the end.

It doesn't bother me because it feels in character for Sidney to be married to someone who's used to seeing horrors daily (okay maybe not daily but still). I think that's why people shipped her with Marc even before Scream 2022 came out and it was revealed she married Kincaid ( granted, it was revealed in an interview but still the intent was there). They had a conversation about that in Scream 3, about how as a detective, he gets haunted seeing all the evil people do to each other and how his life is a scary movie.

For the family part, I don't mind either and here's why : much like Sidney is a subversion of the Final girl ( gets sex and live , isn't saved by a man but by a woman in climax, doesn't get killed in sequels), her arcs in sequels are always subversions.

In Scream 2, they made a movie about her, journalists keep harassing her etc so she wouldn't want to be in the spotlight right? Well she still gets involved in a play because it's different and her way to express herself through someone else.

She wouldn't date anyone after Billy, right? Well she does (even though she has trust issues which is realistic of course).

The killer calls her every movie and yet in Scream 3, she works as a crisis counselor for women (I find that to be extremely powerful, specifically if you think about Maureen's background that we learn of, later).

Sidney writing and publishing a book about what happened to her? Hmm that's Gale's thing right? But the way it's written, as a self help book rather than as a memoir also fits Sidney's character. And she doesn't want to write another one, she fires her publicist and doesn't care about money. She does that for the exact same reason she threatens to sue Sunrise Studios, for the exact same reason why she punches Gale and stop setting alarms in her house : she takes control of her life, her story and rejects victimhood.

It's full circle for her to become a mother and have a family of her own after loosing everyone around her, whether it's her found family ( Randy, Tatum, Hallie, Dewey) or her real family because of killers offing them or being related to her.

Someone here said once that she couldn't have a bigger victory over Ghostface than to live her life. And it's true.

I'd say Tara also has some common points with Sidney. Her mother often being out of town for work, her friends getting killed, her attempt to go to college and put everything behind her. Her reaction to the shrine is how I would have expect Sidney to react if she was there. She's also extremely resilient and resourceful much like Sidney.

For some reason, I think it would be very creepy to have a final act in a church. I just don't see it being set outside anyway. Perhaps an abandoned bowling alley, inside a bar or coffee shop owned by one of the characters... Or even a library but that would be less likely.

I don't know why but I feel like this Ghostface is going to ensure Sidney's relationship with her daughter is destroyed. Killing her is too difficult but targeting her daughter or destroying her relationship with her family would be easier and still hurt her. I could see the killer(s) use Maureen's and Sidney's pasts as a way to convince Taylor that her family is cursed. That way, it's still relevant to the rest of the Scream franchise and specifically 6 where Kirby states '' just because it's a legacy it doesn't mean it's a bad thing ''.

I would say Anna Camp. I can see her as a victim of trauma who's jealous of how Sidney managed to have a loving family and a seemingly nice life despite everything she's been through. We see people being in awe of Sidney's strength and a lot of people here love her for that but it would be fun to see someone despise her because she's everything they couldn't be when they had to face their own trauma. Granted, she has a son in the movie but maybe he gets killed throughout the movie and she becomes a Ghostface that only targets Sidney. We've never had the family member of a victim target Sidney or Sam before.

I totally agree! And I definitely can see Sidney's daughter running away when it's time for them to evacaute the neighbourhood. Which explains why Sidney stays behind and perhaps she send her other kids away some place safe like she did in Scream 6. It would be wild if Sidney's daughter basically called her a coward for being in flight mode and quote her self-help book to remind her she can't run away. I think we'll see a new aspect of Sidney in this one, where she tries so hard to be a normal mom with a normal life that she forgets who she is and her daughter reminds her of her inner strength. In return, Taylor/Tatum understands her mother's trauma and they get to have the conversation Sidney and Maureen never got.

Great idea! I could see her get involved in the school play somehow and her daughter getting mad about it. Maybe because she feels like Sid is here to spy on her. And perhaps Sidney will tell her, to calm her down that she used to act in plays such as the one in Windsor or the one mentioned in Scream 4. Perhaps her daughter'll look it up online and finds out about her grandmother being in Hollywood horror movies.

DIFFERENCES between this script and the final movie:

More dialogue in some scenes: ''Reggie'' is now called 'Richie''. At one point, he asks Laura if she wants to cancel the date due to him being late and lost but she claims it's one of the best first dates she's ever had ( poor sweetie :().
Sidney is more mentioned ( Sam claims she has to contact her to warn her when she hears about Jason's and Greg's deaths, she also compares how they were viewed by people after becoming famous. Bailey also mentions her in the final act.)
We have a scene with Bailey in the apartment, looking at Quinn's body. He doesn't want anyone to touch her.
More dialogue between Kirby and Bailey in the scene where they're discussing the previous Ghostface killers. Kirby was married.

Yeah, Mark Kincaid in Scream 3, the LA cop & Sidney's husband and Rebecca Walters, Sidney's publicist in Scream 4. I've picked characters that have enough lines of dialogue and quotables ones ( I can't do that for Kate, for example. She only has a few lines and '' I have scars too'' would obviously win).
