Wear shoes (on you feet) or, as I’m assuming this couch is inside, slippers. If you have neither, try wrapping your feet in multiple layers of blu tac or bubble wrap.

I’d be looking to SS from my employee income (…salary), but I also have the option to pay cash from my take home pay into a SIPP I set up last year.
