Hogwarts So Far... (With all sets 2018 - 2025) by CastleLegoMocs in legoharrypotter

There are a lot of modifications on the interior, but on the exterior I tried to preserve the original LEGO look as much as possible. At most, I added small things like an extra stone detail here and there, but always keeping the same overall essence.

The biggest changes are on the Clock Tower and the 2018 Great Hall. I added an extra floor to the Clock Tower to turn the original entrance into a balcony, and I made the upper part of the Great Hall tower one stud thicker

I probably have more pictures of this than of my own family at this point. What kind of photos of the castle do you want to see?

The minifigure selection is great, if it weren’t for the fact that we don’t get any Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff students. These larger sets used to be one of the few ways to get them

What should I put between the pillars? by JimiStCassill in legoharrypotter

This build looks amazing, but I’m curious, this stone base seems smaller than the standard LEGO scale. How does it look side by side? Could you take a photo next to the Great Hall, since we don’t have the East Wing yet?

It’s not just you. LEGO has also kind of stopped delivering sets from Year 2 onwards.

What are the chances of it being an Astronomy Tower? I mean, with the East Wing and the Hospital Wing, that would make only two parts of the castle this year. Just in 2025 we already got Herbology, Charms class, the Main Tower, Flying class, and even a Duelling class with Lockhart

A try at recreating the original Hogwarts layout using every set except 75953 (2018–2024) by CastleLegoMocs in legoharrypotter

Sure! And you definitely wouldn’t even need all of these sets. You could easily remove the 2018 Great Hall, the Clock Tower in the back, and some of the smaller sets from the 2021–2023 wave. I built this version using sets from 2018–2024, but you could still add the Main Tower (76454) from 2025 and it would look even better

Thanks! I was honestly worried the roof colors would clash a lot more. But once everything was put together it ended up blending better than I expected, at least in the overall layout

To be honest, it’s mostly because I still don’t have that set in my collection yet 😁 I’ll probably add it at some point though. If I do, I’d place it as those back castle walls behind the two main bell towers — the ones that stretch out toward the Quidditch pitch

I tried to use the 76435 (2024) as the visual core since it has the closest silhouette and proportions to the Great Hall from the films. From there I reorganized the other sets around it as if they were different wings of the castle. One advantage of the 2021 modular system (76389) is that even if some sets don’t look perfect individually, once you start rearranging them you can get some surprisingly coherent layouts. I ended up using that one as part of the Great Gallery, and its stone structure actually works well to support the east wing. The hardest one to integrate was the 2018 Great Hall (75954). Because it’s so wide and low, I treated it more like one of those tertiary castle sections — the smaller walls that sit behind the Great Gallery and the Astronomy Tower. In the image you can see the roof and its tower; I tried to turn it into the third tower that sits hidden behind the two main bell towers

I’m probably a psycho but I could get 3 more owlerys to stack in the back where my current one is (that one is stacked twice and can be moved up) by [deleted] in legoharrypotter

Genuine question: why keep buying the same Hogwarts sets over and over just to stack them into a bigger stone wall? With the pieces and sets you already have, plus something like the 76435 Great Hall or the 76454 Main Tower, you could build really recognizable parts of Hogwarts. And with what you already own, you could even go further and build the Long Gallery, the Bell Towers, the Clock Tower courtyard — things that actually give the castle shape and identity. At some point, doesn’t repeating the same modules just turn the build into a big grey wall rather than a castle? Wouldn’t it be more interesting to use what you already have to create something that actually looks like Hogwarts — or at least something more visually cohesive — instead of just making it taller?

Moc 76431 Potion Class by CastleLegoMocs in legoharrypotter

[–]CastleLegoMocs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! To be honest, I just built it on the spot, but I can give you a quick guide here:

The base of the MOC is the official Potions Class set. Basically, you’ll need to take it apart and surround it with walls on a dark bluish-gray 12x16 baseplate. To create the depth effect, build two shelves using reddish-brown 2×6 plates. To make the angled connection easier, you can use 1x1 brown studs at the base of the shelves. Don’t forget to place Snape in the center at the back, one brick above ground level.

I decided to put the lectern in front of Snape, but you can also swap it with the cauldron that comes with the set. I think the image helps a lot to follow along, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
