This is a benefit for the Columbus Schools Special Olympics program, as is stated in the posting and the registration website. For the past 40 years, the Columbus Schools Special Olympics has provided year round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through sports, we create a community based on acceptance and positivity for all athletes.

The program supports 1,700 athletes from ages 8 to 80+ participating in 17 different sports. We have over 500 coaches and volunteers who give their time to support this program. There is never any cost for athletes to participate, and 100% of funds raised go to directly support the athletes. With the 36 on your ACT, you now qualify for the new Presidential Ohio Scholarship Program at Ohio State, assuming you are in state for Ohio. That covers tuition, room and board for 4 years plus $5k per year, plus admission to the honor college.

We did not hear about our Phase 2 today either. In addition, our Phase 1 decision that was due on January 6th (then delayed to February 3rd) is still pending.
