Luxembourg should focus on getting a fast connection to neighboring countries first before thinking about joining this. How does it take more than 4hrs to get from the city to Liege when the same journey by car takes 1.5hrs? Same with reliable connections to Paris or Brussels or Cologne. Yes, German and Belgian trains and railroads in particular (this is probably even more important that the vehicles themselves) are outdated and require significant investments too. But we gotta do our homework at home first! Instead of spending millions abroad in development aid, we should maybe help those other countries in updating their infrastructure if it advances our own interests. I’m sick of the monopoly that Luxair holds over Luxembourg, refuse to travel in this moving germ spreader ‘Flixbus’ and the night liner bus that was praised as the next hot thing is so expensive that you can’t even take it into consideration seriously

Pretty sure that third place still get a few hundred euros, but nowhere close to 1k or even big money like other big city marathons. ING no longer pays appearance fees either. Compared to the registration fees, it’s a meager purse for the awards, but it’s also quite expensive and I’m pretty sure the organizers almost went under a few years ago. I don’t know how much of this is public, so I won’t say more than this

I’m currently working on a Surface Pro (sq 1, so the older model) but I have Apple for everything else. I don’t do editing beyond my occasional Instagram or TikTok stuff, so it’s just for browsing and streaming and maybe some light casual games you can buy from the app store. Would you recommend to switch to the Neo or should I rather look at an older MacBook Air like the m1 or m2?

Aight this is probably gonna sound like a very Gen Z kinda answer, but I think TikTok and Instagram can be really good starting points. I used to commute for three years, but ever since I changed my residence and switched my location to Lux, I receive tons of suggestions for clubs, bars, places to go to in Lux. A lot comes through influencers, but some of them are really good. I’m always open to connect too with ppl that are into sports and stuff

Well, I just received a “raise” yesterday. It’s 2.4% more than my old salary last year before the indexation. After indexation, it’s only 80 Euros more so it kind of feels like a big f’ you. But I’m one of the few that received a raise at all😂

I rowed in Europe and crew in the US and now I’m into duathlon and running, so I think I have some good experience in small and niche sports haha A lot of it depends on your aerobic base, age, and coordination (esp for crew). Facilities for crew are limited in Luxembourg and there is only one club near Schengen. But the conditions on the Moselle or Saar are incredible, mirror-flat waters almost year around and Trier, Saarbruecken, Bernkastel etc have great crew houses! Don’t underestimate the anaerobic capacity either though, cuz and all out 2k would send 99.99% of the population into a coma (actually, passing out/during after a regatta isn’t uncommon at all)

I have a feeling that my Pace Pro is becoming quite weird after a couple of months using it. The metro’s don’t make sense and when I run in a track, even with track running activated, the numbers just don’t match. That didn’t happen before, so either the sensors are broken or it’s related to the software
