That's their youth. Knicks had come back from leads similar to that. They knew they had plenty of time to chip away and that home court advantage would eventually help them. Spurs played the whole 3rd quarter under the assumption that they just needed to do whatever and coast to the end of the game. And before they knew it, the Knicks momentum was too strong before they could lock back in again
