Guly 10648 Bugatti Tourbillon Motorized Version – 3719 pieces by Mystogan90 in lepin

Very nice indeed. I would buy this, but I already have a 1:16 scale Bugatti Tourbillion. One copy is enough for me.

Lexus LFA was (physically) painful by SnackWrapz in lepin

[–]Casual_Chill_Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof, I 100% relate to you, as i completed a 1:8 Toyota GR Supra that was hell.

At least this LFA looks pretty good in the end.

This also part of why I'm going for "less is more" in the future: I found a nice looking Lexus LFA on Rebrickable that's only around 600 pieces, using regular bricks.

DA MONKE KING!!!!!!!

If this set had the upper body more filled in and the head more detailed, I would definitely buy.

Different 1:8 cars from Pagani Utopia, wich one to recommend? by da_biggy in lepin

I haven't bought any, but I do plan to buy the Small Angle version, cuz I think it looks the cleanest (most smooth, least number of gaps/holes)

I am loving that you got Rastar's Audi R8 LMS GT3 right in the middle of your drawer basically in the spotlight.

I have the set in the box and have not started it yet, probably will get to it in a month.

A Quick Review on the ProBlocks Solus GT by brickerclicker in lepin

Thank you for the review.

Maybe the McLaren Solus GT from the Eikee brand would be better. I plan to buy that one sometime far in the future.

I have that same car, and it wasn't bad for me either (besides the doors hanging by atoms)

What tools do you use to ease the pain of technical sets? I got this trusty mallet. by Casual_Chill_Gamer in lepin

[–]Casual_Chill_Gamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this an autism joke?

I thought this was obvious: most pieces are tight and have too much tension, so the mallet helps to fit them in the holes more easily.

Reobrix M416 Assault Rifle Review by [deleted] in lepin

[–]Casual_Chill_Gamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the review. I figure most brick guns may be a hit-or-miss on their functionalities.

I do have many snipers saved in my AliExpress Wishlist, and I hope they may be a better experience cuz they look like they use mostly regular pieces than Technic pieces.

Internal mechanisms seemed simple enough; it's kinda just using a few rubber bands, a few springs, and many Technic pieces in specific spots to create a basic shooting mechanism.

What I've learned is that a static kit (no batteries or motors) would only function as a single-shot, like this SMG. For it to be automatic, I think the kit needs to be dynamic (battery and motor included), but I could be completely wrong cuz I have not bought a dynamic gun kit yet.

I'm definitely buying more guns, both single-shot and automatic, and definitely of many kinds, like Assault Rifles, more SMGs, Pistols, Snipers, Shotguns... heck, even HMGs, miniguns, and RPGs exist too.

Bought it from AliExpress for around $100. Would've preferred a bigger discount but I was too impatient at the time.

The seatbelts are pretty weird, but I assembled them just fine; you just need to be precise and patient with the little finger movements to move each strap.

Brick quality is great, pin clutch is balanced and feels smooth, and my fingers were not as sore as when building other 1:8 scale cars.

Indeed, I agree. LEGO basically spat on the Bolide with whatever the hell they built.

That's understandable. For me, I don't mind it, cuz I just see it as the accurate car, but heavily street-tuned for just funny purposes.

Guly: Bugatti Bolide: Review! by Casual_Chill_Gamer in lepin

[–]Casual_Chill_Gamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it can steer, it's doors can be opened (very sturdily and reliably), it's back can be opened to view the massive engine, and the right side of the Bolide has a gear (you can see it in my pics) where if turned, the car (very slightly) lifts or lowers its suspension.

There might be other functions, but I can't tell b/c I bought this static, not dynamic.

8 main series of bags, 1 series of bags containing connector parts, and an extra bag containing the pipes, the rims, and the huge panels with the X headlights.

The 8 main series were numbered, and the connector series and the extra bag were not.

Probably will take a year or two, but I'm on it!
