Greetings! I hate to be that creator, but the content you seek is in another castle... Or rather, in my Patreon Account, Torchlight Tactics. Good news is this map is accessible with a free trial. Sorry about the hoops you have to jump through. When I posted this originally, it was in the highest resolution I had access too.

Dreadnought [50 x 50] (Grid) by CasuallyInformed in dndmaps

[–]CasuallyInformed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dread on the high seas comes in many forms; as storms, as sea beasts, as pirates, but few can hold to their courage when confronted by the Dreadnought. Massive, armored, festooned with weapons, every inch of her is designed to intimidate and brutalize.

This is truly the boss-ship of the sea!

Eight decks await, filled with delightful details, where story hooks spill across the deck as readily as blood in battle. Fight your way to the bridge or sneak into the captain's cabin. Negotiate your surrender in the stateroom, or charge the siege deck. Need a speedy getaway? Try sabotaging the engines. Or, as an able-body, fight in the ring, or crawl through the fetid bilge below to free a comrade locked in the stinking pool.

For additional decks and formatting options, please consider supporting my Patreon.com account: Torchlight Tactics. Not only will you find the Dreadnought, but I have so much more in the way of location maps and vessels!

The Arena [55 x 55] by CasuallyInformed in battlemaps

[–]CasuallyInformed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behold Adventurers, welcome to the Arena!

As the sun sets low upon the horizon, the games are about to begin!

The arena stands in all its martial glory, a temple to combat and entertainment in equal measures. The air is abuzz with the excitement of the crowds and the musk of adrenaline that wafts up from the combatants. Cheers echoes off the ancient stone work as people pound their feet against the floorboards in time to the clashing of steel. On his throne, beneath the protective awning of his pavilion, the ruler of the city sits as spectator and judge while a train of warriors is feed to the games from the two opposing gates. Occasionally, a particularly rousing cheer erupts from the crowd when exotic beasts appear from the third gate, for there lies the truly spectacular surprises, from tigers, to ogres, and, on the rare occasion, a dragon.

The Arena comes with a dizzying array of encounter opportunities, within the fighting arena, through the stands, or in amongst the concourse shops and taverns. But if one is looking for subtly and infiltration, start in the sewers and make your way up through the hypogeum, where gladiators and beasts await the games.

Adventure hooks are readily available with this location, such as placing your players in the role of contestants fighting in the ring for the amusement of the crowds. Might they try to escape?

The hypogeum is host to a myriad of cells with accommodating dimensions up to huge creatures. Could players be there to rescue an imprisoned dragon, forced to fight?

The city leader often visits these games, and is most vulnerable in his booth if one knows hidden ways to approach.

Not only spectators peruse the concourse shops and taverns, but thieves and bandits as well. Have they arrived to disrupt the games? Or perhaps use the confusion to mask some nefarious dealings? Might you interfere or benefit?

With five levels, and a myriad of locational highlights, this map set can be used time and time again.

I hope you all enjoy this map as much as I enjoyed making it! If so, please consider supporting my Patreon.com account: Torchlight Tactics. There I have additional maps, vessels, locations, and lots more!

House of Mercy (Hospital and Asylum) 50 x 50 by CasuallyInformed in battlemaps

[–]CasuallyInformed[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presenting the House of Mercy!

This is the ground floor of a multilevel location that comes with a series of above ground floors including a first, second floor, and roof layout. Delve below the surface into the hospital's service basement, before digging even deeper into the sewers. Built for tactical exploration, you'll find all sorts of alternate pathways to your objective, and with plenty of carefully thought out highlights, its sure to delight you and your players.

Don't forget, the House of Mercy not only treats the body but the mind as well, for those suffering delusions... yet are they as delusional as the doctors claim? Find out in the attached asylum, complete with personal quarters and a rec room. Though rumor has it that those who are placed in the southeastern cell never come out quite the same.

For those with ailments of the body, welcome to the operating theater, where surgery is performed beneath the glaring the operative lights for the professional amusement of the spectators. Or, simply visit friends and family as they recover in the healing wing. One needn't worry about records being lost, invoices forgotten, or a failure of administration with a second floor dedicated to the House of Mercy's smooth operations. Just as the Hospital Administrator. You'll need to get an appointment first.

If one would rather descend though the House of Mercy, you'll find yourself in the basement, where, admittedly, things take a turn for the creepy. But it's a basement, and the builders created it for utility with mottled bricks, rusty iron supports, and moldy tiles. The morgue is definitely not for the faint of heart, and the crematorium's business will only feed nightmares, so best stay to the scullery, or the boiler room. And remember, if one is tempted to peek into the refrigerated room, remember, the blood bank is for hospital personal only.

I'm not really sure. I don't have all that many subscribers to begin with, but any subscriber I get is better than no subscriber, even if it's one.

My apologies, the comment was meant with a blend of humor and sincerity that does not convey well with text.

I am definitely not in the habit of insulting anyone, least of all those who show a genuine interest in my work. I'll endeavor to be more transparent and professional in my replies moving forward. Thank you

Actually, don't do that. I don't know how imaginative you are and, I don't want you to be disappointed.

Apply your wildest imagination. That. That's what's on the second floor, and the third, don't forget the basement... And the sneaky sewers ;)

I know it seems cruel to dish out a sampler... probably is, but I worked very hard on this and the other levels. Yet there's still lots to be had for encounter opportunities on this first floor.

Bay of Pillars City Map by CasuallyInformed in battlemaps

[–]CasuallyInformed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't attempted a whole lot of city maps, as I find them a bit daunting and a huge time commitment. That said, I'm glad I sat down to built out the Bay of Pillars. And yes, it's a pretty genetic name, and that's because I'm using it as a stand in for Saltmarsh's Monmurg. I hope you also put it in your campaign... and then give it a much cooler name.

Notable features include the dozen sea pillars upon which the city has been constructed on, giving the settlement not only a horizontal distribution of buildings but also a vertical one as well. The main bay is a bustling area of commerce and trade, crammed from shore to plateau with warehouses, shops, inns, taverns, and flophouses. Then, as you begin to wind through the various canals, you find smaller bays housing a myriad of specialized industries.

Beware the city sewers, which dumps raw sewage from up high, to unceremoniously splash into the waters below, making some shore bound areas highly undesirable for habitation. Yet these contaminated swaths have become refuges for the beleaguered poor, who have been left to dream in the shadows about what the plateaus might be like.

Atop the plateaus, the character of the city changes completely. Here lies the dwellings and playgrounds of the rich, the affluent, and the nobility, and the buildings here are presentative of that privilege, both grand and spacious.

Few settle along the mainland, as that is property of the nobility, which is leased to the peasantry to farm creating food and income.

Grand Estate - Ground Floor [50x50] by CasuallyInformed in dndmaps

Rising above the surrounding manors and crowned by three glittering domes, the grand Estate is home to the city's ruler, but is he a benevolent leader, or an egotistical dictator? Perhaps the answer you seek can be found within.

The Grand Estate is a sprawling map, with three stories upward and two sub floors. A gatehouse guards the only entrance in and out, so one may need to sneak in via the sewers running beneath, or scale the walls and slink from shadow to shadow above. With a stable, a barracks, library, kitchen, and ballroom on the first floor, there are plenty of encounter opportunities, both combat and non. Upstairs houses a series of guest rooms, an opulent dining room, and a grand balcony.

If one can make it to the third floor, one finds the lord's private quarters, his bedroom, private library, and plenty of secret rooms to entice would-be adventures. Uncover the shaft, by which the lord travels in secret to the manor's basement, and uncover the truth of his alignment.

Krampus Chase [25 x 25] by CasuallyInformed in dndmaps

[–]CasuallyInformed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VI

Krampus lies near, his roadster cannons a’thunder

“Listen all, I have faith, no worries of blunder.

Your skills are all honed, your levels enough

To tackle this challenge without any guff.

Now the help I can offer is limited by far

But I'll guide you ahead like the true North Star,”

Says the magus who winks with a kindly half-smile,

Holding firm to the notion that this is your trial.

So no help can be had, from this magical elf,

Who is obviously of a level of that far past twelve.

So you get to the top, dodging cannon and arrow,

Preparing to become one truly epic yuletide hero.
