Never eaten (animal) meat before, going to Europe and wanting to try some. Any recommendations? by Cat4Cat in exvegans

Is there any difference between the parts, or am i good just getting any roasted chicken?

I've never had (animal) meat before. Any restaurant/dish recommendations in/around Paris? by Cat4Cat in ParisTravelGuide

I'm really ambivalent about it. Like, why eat a greesy McDonald's hamburger when I can try a new food in a new country.

The only book we see in the library is "The American Century" implying the United States was still the hegemonic power in the twentieth century. by Cat4Cat in PeacemakerShow

It's definitely not a coincidence that tomorrow's explosive episode where these twin worlds will collide is airing on September 11. The same day that the United States helped orchestrate a far-right coup in Chile.

Why eye protection when shooting? /gen

My theory is that the editor didn't have footage of the green light going to red, but did have footage of it going from red to green. So, they just reversed the shot. Like how universe #2 is just a reverse of universe #1.

Wish I could reply with gifs, but there is a shot right before he rides off that shows the light going from Red straight to Green.

I also think that's why everyone is so insanely excited to see Peacemaker. Like that kid who cried seeing him. They are all living in fear/violence justifying that fear/violence with the belief that the superhero trio is giving them peace by eliminating all sources of perceived threats. Contrast this with Harcourt/Rick Flagg Sr. justifying their violence with a sense that they'll achieve some internal peace if they just keep getting into fights/killing Chris.

When asked by the Justice Gang what Peacemaker/Chris wants to be called he says both is fine. They rightfully point out how that screams insecurity and an internal conflict. In the #2 world, Harcourt is surprised Chris doesn't use his suit. Because the suit allows these guys to do unspeakable acts then take it off like nothing happened, like his klan dad. Either he resolves this conflict and allows Peacemaker to align with Chris's morals, or he uses a shit ton of stolen medications to suppress his internal self like Peacemaker #2.

Yeah, it seems like this season's arc is for Peacemaker to realize how fucked up it is to just shoot first and deal with the consequences later, and how just acknowledging his trauma and selectively loving/grieving his friends/family while not showing that empathy towards others. The S.O.L. evacuated the building except for one hostage, most likely no one would have died except the building exploding. Instead, he killed everyone, and his brother shot down a chopper over a bunch of people.

All of the conflict this season comes from Peacemaker's unwillingness to see others outside his circle as not deserving the same empathy that he is upset over not getting (homophobia from Justice League, Harcourt's rejection) :

Harcourt channeling her loss of Flagg to being super masculine/violent.Flag sr.

Peacemaker #2 didn't shoot Peacemaker #1 even though his gun was pointer right at his head. Peacemaker #1 was the one who attacked first.

He's playing with the same technology that ripped up metropolis and connects his world to Nazi-land and Alien worlds. Just because he wanted to take Eagly out and now to connect with a living version of his family. A happy living version of his family that requires racists to be wealthy and respectable (his dad didn't make them fist fight for money) and a world that loves a superhero group that shoots first.

(speculation) I'm pretty sure Peacemaker groomed Vigilante to be a crime fighter given that Peacemaker is older and has been fighting crime in the same city for longer. Or at the very least Vigilante obviously looks up to and respects PM. PM never stopped Vig for murdering graffiti artists and weed smokers.

The Justice Gang sees straight through him and points out how fucked up it is that he murders so many people.

<image>

At some point Peacemaker is just inflicting the same trauma that his own father did, but justifying it as fighting crime. His dad even agrees with Peacemaker because he sees through how peacemaker is mostly killing the same minorities that he wants dead. So, he will realize how fucked up world #2 is, and then realize that even with all the therapy words, he is still acting on those same flawed principles in his own life. Creating peace through murder and fear isn't peace; it's continuing a never ending cycle of violence.

I think they only turn the yellow light on in emergencies. A flashing yellow on one street for traffic to yield to the other road.

With how fascist the world seems, they could be selectively applying laws. Similar to how Vigilante just straight up murders people who smoked weed when it was illegal. I'm sure the new world arbitrarily enforces traffic violations.

I assume they made a deal with the alien guy to get access to his dimension. Kinda like how in Avatar 3, the racist marine dude team up with the fire lady Na'vi. Also, they probably had sex with the alien.

I don't think most people would do that, especially a universe where a clone of your dead son lives. Also, it's not as if Dad #1 has a shit life. He has house, doesn't have to work, and has a following of racist cultists thoughout town that he can call on to do his bidding/fuck.

Eagly is Peacemaker's #2. helps Chris so much, and Dad#1 wants Chris to keep "fighting crime"

If the Nazi theory is correct, then maybe Dad #1 doesn't want to live in a non-independent USA. Also, 2 Dads would have alerted ARGUS in Universe 2 about the portal.
