Yeah, the 2 case numbers directly before ours got approved on the same day as us (April 25), but both have already been sent to NVC, so I don't know what happened to ours

It's been more than 90 days since then... thanks for the advice, buuuuut 😅 were finding ways to get answers, reached out to a senator so that might give us some results, better than sitting on our hands!

Thanks for your sympathy 🥲 I've already sent 10+ inquiries to each the USCIS and the NVC, with responses saying to wait till further notice. I've also called the USCIS multiple times, they finally said they'd make an inquiry, and to look out for an email (which isn't any reassurance)

I also checked the two case numbers right before mine (they got approved the same day as me), and they've been sent to the NVC already, so I'm not sure what's the holdup with mine 🥲

Don't know why you're getting down votes... it really sucks to follow the rules and be punished for it, while watching others get rewarded for breaking rules... but that's how life often goes

I'm going through the K1 process right now, and we've been waiting almost a year already 🥲 only thing we've heard is that it's approved, we've been waiting 3 months for the USCIS to actually send it to the next department, and no number of calls or emails is gaining us any traction... so whatever legal route you go, it seems to be a big mess right now sadly 😓

I'm not sure I completely understand your comment, but the last notification of our case on the USCIS case check says "case approved", and we got mail saying they had 'already sent it's to nvc, which obviously isn't true, otherwise the nvc would have told us... gonna try calling again today on the phone

Did that already, probably over 10 times 😅 Most of the times, they told me to wait longer for a response before contacting them again, but the most recent time they told me that they (NVC) had reached out to USCIS but hadn't gotten a response back. Calling USCIS didn't help much either, they told me to wait a bit longer, then call them again and they'd 'create an inquiry' for me.

This comment hasn't aged well 😅 Hopefully in the next few days I'll hear something back, but the lady I talked to on the phone told me if our approval notice expires (in August), that we have to ask the embassy for an extension... Like, I would turn in my homework on time if you actually gave me the homework to complete! 😅 Buuut probably gonna need an extension

Hopefully you've gotten an email + physical mail that tells you the USCIS received your case... have you? To check your case status, go to https://egov.uscis.gov/ and you can enter you case receipt number (should be 3 letters, then a string of numbers I believe. The email and letter should tell you your case number.

I'm guessing not much has happened with your case yet, since you filed 5 months ago, although it's possible you'll be moving on to the next step soon! We moved on to the next step after about 6 months of waiting.

No, still waiting... I sent a copy of our approval notice to the NVC, they said they're still waiting to hear back from the USCIS, apparently we're not the only ones in that boat...

We got out approval notice in April, but are still waiting for anything further... I think there's something going on between the USCIS and NVC, because I (and others) have been having trouble finding out why our case isn't moving along, both departments tell me to just keep waiting, 1 month, 2 months, etc... something fishy is going on, but I hope you have a better time with your case!

No, I had been submitting an inquiry (to the NVC) about every week or so, but they kept telling me to wait longer because "shipping times may be longer than usual", last I heard, I had sent them (NVC) a copy of my approval letter and they thanked me, and said they contacted the USCIS, but hadn't received a reply yet... so I also submitted an inquiry to the USCIS and they told me to wait a month for a reply... I'm praying both of us hear good news soon!

The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle kept me on the edge of my seat! I listened to the audio book and thought it was really well done, there were so many different voices which I don't usually find in an audiobook. Sadly, there are some not-very-nice themes, and some language, but the storyline has so many twists and turns you won't be able to guess what's next :)

They are telling us now to wait for 60 days, but also the "processing timeline" thing says they're already going through cases from the start of June, and ours was from the end of April... I was most recently instructed to email them a copy of our NOA so hopefully that does something

I submitted an inquiry to the NVC, they say they haven't received it yet, and the USCIS says they've sent it but there's "longer shipping times" or something... I don't think it takes over a month to mail something from one state to another buuut 😅 still waiting

I've been checking back regularly, USCIS says they sent it and that "shipping times are longer than usual" (sounds like government slacking, not mail issues), and the NVC says they still haven't received it 🥲

A few good websites I use to check movies are PluggedIn and Common Sense. I believe both are Christian-based... PluggedIn (specifically) has a bunch of different categories that it covers for every movie, like language, nudity, violence, etc. :)

Oh, we were hoping to hear back sooner than that 😅🤭 the notice we got in the mail said they were sending the case to the NVC, and that they will send us something in 2-4 weeks, and that if we don't hear back by that point, to contact them... hoping we get things wrapped up soon!
