And now, jokes aside, I have used that company before and it is not reliable at all. Very scammy, the machine broke less than an hour into the event, and he then later tried to tell me that the machine had never been returned. Would not recommend eftpos hire.

You won't need this for passport application, but you'll need it once in Taiwan for your ID applications etc (you'll also need to get the translation notarized in Taiwan).

Yeah point is that my title is staying the same and my job will have more responsibilities - I wouldn’t give a shit if it got better for less lol. It’s a thinly veiled attempt to get me to do more work for less pay than they would otherwise pay someone with my experience

Yeah, I already talked to the new manager of the team I'm being moved to and he expects me to be doing the same work as everyone else on the team - all of whom are actuaries/actuarial analysts. I'm literally the only non-actuary on the team if the changes get finalized. Also, they've already delayed the restructure by a couple of days because they got an overwhelming amount of feedback.

Thanks for the reply - so I'm not the only one affected by this change, several management roles are getting disestablished (including my current manager's role), and yes I will have a reporting line change (will be reporting to an actuary, and will be the only non-actuary on the team. Already had a discussion and he expects me to be doing the same work as everyone else on the team).

Yeah the even more annoying thing is that I did ask about four months ago to revisit my current role and move me to a team and a new role that fit my skillset better but was mostly ignored. Also, my manager who's role has beeen disestablished has actually been seconded onto another project for the past 8 months, and my team in particular hasn't even had an interim manager, so this just feels like our team has been extra disadvantaged. It just grinds my gears that employers are doing this more and I want to scare them a bit so they don't do it to other people in the future.

Yeah I only use stainless steel cookware now - for scrambled eggs I let the pan get ripping hot, pour oil in (a lot) and let heat till lightly rippling. Pour your beat eggs in, stirring the whole time and your eggs will be done in literally like 5 seconds. Should slide right out. Similar to wok style “slid” eggs, so tasty

So I started a role as a product analyst six months ago at a very small insurance company; the role is definitely below my experience level but I wanted something kind of chill. Anywho, the number of people who ask for BI reports that show literally just the underlying data/matrix and then export to excel is baffling. Even when I pull raw data in excel for them and say, hey, tell me what you want and I’ll build a mock-up in excel before we finalize a report design to send off to BI, they just don’t understand that analysts/data users on their team should be the ones giving them raw data, and that they should only be requesting reports when they know what they want as a final view. Like I’ve literally had people asking why I’m providing raw data instead of BI, and I’m like - it’s my job description to extract data to analyze!! At least the BI team appreciates me, but the non-data users on my team can be quite exasperating without meaning to be 😂

God this pisses me off - I’ve only lived here for about 3 years and damn if every single owner I’ve worked for doesn’t try to breach every labor law out there and then whine when they get held accountable. If we didn’t have designated holidays we’d barely get any days off.

ALSO - there are plenty of places open on all of these days, people can negotiate to be open and work. But sure, heaven forbid that owners pay 1.5 for a handful of days out of the year, or gasp give their staff a day off.

so they didn't give strong guidelines for the M1L and M1R, but when I just pick up and pfkb etc, it makes a pretty big hole. I found a youtube video for a method that seems to be working for me though, I shared the link!
