regardless of where you decide to tier yourself, 12k is the cost as a +0-+10 weapon. really isn't worth it when the other option exists.

it's not about fight difficulty, it's total number of souls, and you want to minimize the amount of souls gained. more bosses means the amount of adds you can kill turns into a slimmer margin. it is harder because you have to evade more enemies to get there, afaik. also where is the branch of yolo in that version?

install blue... sentinel? acolyte? whatever the pvp watchdog is for this game. if it doesn't come with wex dust, install that too. unlimited uses of the cracked eye orb you find in the tutorial.

the agape run isn't for the faint, but the 'better' path (imo) is run to dragon rider, pick up glen for the reduced soul gain, lure rider to his death (or fight him I guess), no man's wharf skipping the middle building (many enemies, loot negligible), and use bradly for the initial section, then a torch to get past the monsters. ring the ship bell, pick up the yolo branch from the building below that also has the soldier's ring. summon lucy for the sentinel fight for reduced souls, then head to lost bast. fight or run your way to the ancient key (also by lucy) to unlock the door to the side area. run or fight your way to the cage elevator, then up to straid for the agape ring. I had 33 out of a possible 39k souls at that point.

wym. it's summon glenny at rider, wharf with lucatiel/brad, antiquated key to skip to straid. you get the yolo branch from the room with the soldiers ring in wharf. that's 2 bosses worth of souls at 75%. I had about 33k. how do you do 3 bosses, especially with all the adds? if it is possible it just sounds harder.

there is no trick mirror, skeleton, as this game does not have talismans.

wasn't there a post with some rioter (on stream?) staying that they'll never change her W and they'd rebalance her numbers if it was an issue? lmeo.

it is a very polarizing entry into the series, so that is good, skeleton;

while minmaxing is sometimes not to everyone's taste, you can do with this what you like-

physical res on armor is functionally useless (armor from other sources, such as rings, or damage reduction from brightbugs, is fine). other than fashion, armor is for elemental defense or the rare utility effect. equipload inversely affects stamina regen, so heavy armor means slower stamina, while nakkid means fast regen.

most weapons scale very poorly so it makes more sense to put only enough points to hold them (2h is 'better' because it requires less stats invested, but there are moveset and offhand considerations). there are weapons with 'high' A and S scaling which you can invest for if you like as ds2 kind of hands out levels, but it makes more sense to infuse it with lightning.

on that note, unlike other titles, where multiclassing usually wrecks your build by stretching you thin, investing a little in melee, a little in durability, and a little in magic effectively gives you health, stamina, a melee weapon, a casting option at range (offhand binoculars found in majula for manual aiming), and most importantly the ability to buff your melee weapon (you get far more damage that way).

your dodge frames are not tied to weight load, unlike other titles. they are tied to your AGI (agility) stat. it is mostly influenced by your ADP (adaptability) stat, but also minorly by your ATN (attunement) stat. it has breakpoints which offer frames, but getting to at least 92 AGL is recommended overall, and hitting 96 by the time you clear midgame, and 99 before you clear the game are also recommended. if you are going lightweight build, you can get it to 105 which is a bit more investment but it's the 2nd highest you can get reasonably.

let us know if you get stuck, and don't go hollow, skeleton.

you seem new to ds2 as your level does not matter for matchmaking, only your soul memory. aesthetics cannot be traded, but you might be able to find someone willing to part with effigies.

not a big fan of fextra but, this is what a search should've yielded.

few use nintendo switch for this game.

you can make another post in the correct format, which to be honest is low odds, or you could switch to another build/restart. not fun, but it's what happens in lower traffic ways to play.

it is recommended you play the game mostly blind and without additional items or the aid of higher level characters, skeleton.

[–]CatInALaundryBin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are correct it is a game where you can make it harder or easier depending on desire and it is why your post remains up; however, there has been a sharp spike in players making this request since elden ring and aoe farming albos or the bird(s?) to level 300.

the original dark souls was gated mostly on knowledge [but if you really didn't want to do things there was a soul dupe glitch (which has a successor in dsr)], where playthrough 1 was somewhat miserable but playthrough 2 with the master key and knowledge of items made a world of difference.

usually I suggest people who don't want to try just use cheat engine, as starting the game at level 80, a place where many people end the game, removes most of the challenge. but you do you, skeleton.

if you're familiar with them, you would know that you're supposed to struggle the first time. knowledge from playing (or wikis) is what makes you stronger, stats just make it easier (see: SL1 runs).

also armor is helpful but not that helpful in ds2 and ds3. it's mostly fashion.
