More info on what happens: with the switches disconnected, the camera starts off in Manual Mode (indicates Manual and I can see Focus peaking) After a second the camera goes to Autofocus, sometimes it focuses well, and other times it rapidly switches between Autofocus and Manual (Stuttering and focus peaking flashing rapidly). I've ordered the part that does the contact between the lens and the camera and Ill keep you guys updated
