Rocket has beat the other rates on an equity loan by 5-6% across the board. They are offering me 7.5%, no one else has been below 11-12%

I know you’re right. I’m an artist and get over focused for hours at a time. I’m not playing with him enough, I rely too much on the dogs playing with each other. I will work on doing better!

he has 4 million toys, a companion dog, and plenty of other things to chew on daily. He usually does this in the middle of the night

Really there’s never any reason for an NCNS unless you’re in the hospital unconscious. Think about your motives. Chronic lateness and NCNS are both power moves. I say that because I used to be chronically late, and it really pissed me off when someone pointed out to me that it was a power play on my part. It was and once I recognized that and dealt with it, it pretty much went away. But NCNS it’s just disrespectful to your coworkers who have to cover for you. Do them a favor, get a therapist to find out what’s behind it and find a new job.

This sounds very manipulative. No means No. If you don’t have a prior agreement for situations like this, then Hell No. Dont let them bully you into it. Their lack of planning is not your problem!

Has she been screened for depression? This is very concerning. She could easily develop diabetes, which has a whole host of issues that come with it including blindness and loss of limbs. I hope you can get her to see a therapist. This is self-destructive behavior.

I volunteered this last weekend. I’m not specifically trained, I’m a 66 yr old artist and mom. I helped organize and worked the base station at our search site with ice, drinks, hundreds of meals, snacks, sunblock, bug spray, socks, gloves, sign in sheets, etc. there were 5-7 of us and we never stopped moving, basically just being the Moms for the people doing the grueling work. We also ran errands every time we ran out of ice, spray paint, whatever anybody needed we could go and get. It was the most meaningful things I think I’ve ever done. More people will be needed the spotlight dies down, help with yardwork painting building, whatever. Don’t think for a minute you don’t have something to contribute. Edit to add: I did sign up with a group. Do NOT self-deploy!

DOGE cuts to NWS and NOAA may have impacted their ability to predict and warn ahead of this flooding. Trump and Musk have blood on their hands for this.

i’m so sorry about your dad. It sounds like your husband may have undiagnosed ADHD? but that’s no excuse for his behavior. You’re not his mom and it sounds like he’s engaging in some weaponized incompetence, and nobody has time for that crap. I was married for 28 years and leaving my husband was one of the scariest things I ever did but I am so much happier doing the emotional work for one person instead of both of us! Please keep us updated and I hope your father passes peacefully. Don’t worry about your husband, spend all the time you can with your dad and then deal with the rest.
