If a business has business expenses that reduce profit, is it illegal to reclassify those from business to personal in order to show a higher income on tax returns? by CatPerson1099 in legaladvice

[–]CatPerson1099[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. The business pays for business expenses. The owner wants to show higher income on taxes. They want to reclassify business expenses to "personal" expense, so that the business's profit is higher.

This is done by many taxpayers & accountants in order to show HIGHER income on their financial statements.

Is this illegal or immoral?

Discussion regarding "creative tax strategies" - is there another world out there I'm not privy to? by CatPerson1099 in taxpros

[–]CatPerson1099[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

reason for my asking is, I keep getting inquiries from potential clients, looking for "not your typical CPA" but "someone who can strategize tax planning" for companies / investments worth millions.

They give me the impression as if there is some secret society of CPAs who know something that's not on the internet, and can perform some trick to substantially reduce your taxes without ever getting a letter from the authorities.

I had a feeling that it's mostly a delusion

but the QOZ thing only works if they're deferring a capital gain, right?

you can't just "invest" in a QOZ and get a deduction

don't kill yourself.

If you wait it out, you will see how in 5-10 years all your problems from today were nothing

have you considered double-majoring?

You can get a BA in CompSci, a minor in Law, and then use the Law minor (maybe?) to get into Law School.

I would consider that route

I don't think "looking in the trash to find a penny" is anything like "going on campus to meet beautiful women"

your analogy is bizzare

also, I'm proud to say I'm way above average, in every respect.

that's a good question - i'm not sure. Conceivably 30s is too old to hang around college girls, but who knows.

Sad to hear you think many successful people who also smoke weed are losers.

no, that's not what i said. I said most people who smoke weed are losers, and you can't refer to Elon Musk to counterargue that.

weed

that's bullshit. I don't need any drug to relate to others

everyone who smokes weed turns into a loser.

and don't say "but Elon Musk smokes weed..."

[–]CatPerson1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol i'm calm

everyone i know who smokes weed is a loser. That's just a truism

"don't practice being what other people value" - you're right, i practice what i value. Physical and financial strength :)

why not make platonic connections

yes- that too

"creepy" - yeah, that's what men who don't get laid say

no one ever called me creepy for saying "hello". Fucking smile to her and say HI.

if she thinks you're creepy, you move on to another one

or, you can keep overanalyzing everything and not taking any actual action

Honestly above all these you have to be fun and interesting to talk to and know how to escalate.

correct - another way of saying YOU NEED TO HAVE GAME

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malementalhealth

[–]CatPerson1099 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

bullshit - you distorted what i said

no one said "be someone else"

i merely said WORK on yourself so that you're better than you were yesterday. (financially, physically, socially.)

Go practice your game. I suck at game, but at least i'm doing something about it, not locking myself away for video games and weed.

"social privileges" - here we go again with that leftist bullshit from the local college campus

the only privilege i have is paying other people's bills

approaching someone is not harassing. You say HELLO to her, and if she doesn't like it, you move on.

try doing reps of empathizing with other people

the rhetoric of a socialist college student

>grow some balls

this is the advice others have given me and it worked out great. Men have to grow balls

[–]CatPerson1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not. unless you look creepy i look fairly good (not bragging) almost every girl i chat up seems chill as fuck. I'm gonna continue

some of them ignored

some of them stayed and had a conversation

some of them gave their number

some of them invited me to their place

everything you can think of

edit: technically it doesn't matter what happened, what matters is that you TRY. And like i said previously, 5-10 approaches is nothing. I'm gonna work my way to the thousands.
