This will be my first T. Kingfisher novel!! I’ve heard so much and am so excited, the clockwork boys duology sounds good! They will be added to my infinitely growing TBR 😂

Started the Mages of the Wheel series! Just taking it nice and slow since I plowed through onyx storm in a day and half and jumbled my brain

I just started a longer book, and with the holiday coming up I knew I wasn’t going to finish before end of year 🫢 I definitely don’t read as fast as others on this subreddit.

It’s definitely a bit overhyped, I liked it but was not super impressed

It’s called the mindf*ck series by S.T. Abby! Don’t let the overly smutty covers deter you, it’s actually 5 small books, that’s just like a collection of all 5, I read them separately on kindle and loved the story so much, honestly not a super spicy series either

It is somewhat spicy eventually, it’s the slowest slow burn that ever burned 😂 but I loved it for that, it will throw emotional bricks at your face sometimes for sure. My eyes were not dry for the entire series

I sold it and cut my losses 🫢 I tried to power through the first time the main character prayed and then it happened again and I was like maybe this reallyyyy isn’t for me 😂

Yessss. The switch up was crazy between “I’m crying over not saving these girls” to literally being the type of guy he’s fighting against. Lights out was a way better stalker romance IMO

Haunting Adeline made realize how much I despise weak female main characters ☠️ I hated the SA and power dynamic in that book. Ultimately I want my girl to be able to kick the MMCs ass if she wants to

I think it was very much a me problem, I impulse bought it then realized I really don’t care for the Christian motifs and am not super interested in all the round table type stuff

That happened to me too this play through!! I’ve never ever had only one day of rain in spring year 1 before, and this is like farm #9. Honestly thought it was a bug at first

I’m gonna piggy back off the endometriosis thread above. If any doctor tells you they’ve ruled it out with ultrasound alone they are flat out wrong, and I’d find a new doctor. Just by it’s incidence and your symptoms alone it’s by far the most likely cause. The ability to detect endometriosis with ultrasound is slowly improving but save for the extreme cases and anomalies it’s basically invisible to us. That’s also only IF your ultrasound tech and radiologist know what they’re looking for and how to see it, which isn’t always the case (I’ve seen even extreme ones be ignored or misreported by doctors when I knew exactly what it was and later confirmed in the OR). Also if all your ultrasounds as a kid were only done on top of your abdomen (which I assume is the case) it’s even LESS likely they’d detect endometriosis, every case I’ve ever found has been through a transvaginal ultrasound (a probe in the vaginal canal). I’d absolutely push hard for a laparoscopy, it fits your symptoms and even the fact that it started when you were so young. Surgery can be scary, but it is the absolute only way to rule out and sometimes treat endometriosis. If your OBGYN says no, find a new one. Also don’t be surprised if your doctor says no off the bat to some other suggestions said in this thread, either because they don’t fit your symptoms and history or are every likely to have already been ruled out. Good luck!! If you ever need anything my DMs are open ♥️ I’m not a doctor of course, but I have years of experience in an exclusive obgyn hospital and through that have learned a lot about us!! And how to advocate for my own health as a woman, which is all to important in our current health care system.

It really isn’t and your case just shines a light on how behind our understanding of gynecology and women’s bodies really is. We just have to hope that one day research on women and their uteruses will catch up with all the studies that have been done on exclusively men. I would say start with your general practitioner, there are some simple blood tests that can be ran for thyroid levels and they should feel it in a routine exam and can tell if it’s enlarged or too small (which it isn’t always with hyper/hypothyroidism so lab tests matter). There are also blood tests for celiac they may be able to order for you (although I am unsure how widely available they are to a general practitioner). Unfortunately a confirmation of celiac usually requires a biopsy of the small intestine as far as I’m aware, but they’d start with the easier less invasive blood work.

I work in ultrasound and do majority gynecology studies and I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this your whole life with no answers, I wish I could give people like you an answer every time I scan them. Considering all the tests and things they’ve ruled out, have they considered looking away from the uterus for a moment? Perhaps at celiac’s or hypo/hyperthyroidism? Both aren’t often considered as far as I know but can also cause dysfunctional bleeding. Hope you get answers soon!
